GREAT ideas born in India' are REJECTED out-right. i know i 2 will have to prove mine in the GREAT US 1st; it takes Visionaries to See the Worth in things but Greater Visionaries in LARGE Numbers to have a HEART LARGE enough to feel & see the worth in what the SINGLE MAN tried to Show; DON’T Blame them for scientifically proving the worth of our Practise, LEARN to SEE the WORTH at an EARLY stage. If monkeys don’t like DIAMONDS & a MAN takes credit for polishing DON’T BLAME the MAN.
I guess the next things that would be copied is 'angapradakshanam' which we do at Tirupati by rolling over the temple floor in circumambulation. The point to note is, whereas we Indians just claim the benefit of ancient practices , the Americans score by 'proving' it. The same was true of 'Pranayam' which we Indians were actually ashamed of doing in public, till the Americans proved its benefits. Same goes with yoga. I think it is time Indians begin to prove what we claim - Ramaswamy
Dear American friends, In India we are practising the same system in front of our Lord Ganesha daily. This is from thousands of years we are following. and dont try to give another name super brain yoga and to take as your new discovery. Any thing in the world including Aeroplane, Atomatic power, every thing found from Vedas in which it is clearly specified with full details.
@rravi89 They just want to patent everything that we do in India for thousands of years, just like British sold clothes made in india to indians from the cotton produced in india and there were idiots who would even buy it.

In India that's how we are (were) punished in the school..also this is done as a ritual in front of the Hindu God Ganesha (God of knowledge). Sadly. these things are fading away....
ancient indian scientific method , this is yoga, about acupuncture soon they might adopt ancient art of indian canning, that activates right and left hemispheres and also butt cells
hahahaha. I thought this was a spoof video at first. This is actually an age-old practice in India. Maybe it will pick up in India again, now that Americans have validated it. Shows how punishment can help you, doesn't it?
These doctors should also investigate "Murga" and "Murgi" for benefits. American students can probably improve their "math" skills by doing Murga or Murgi regularly. In their exams also, whenever they forget basic addition, just a quick Murga/Murgi could help them.
@kpkm85 : I don't know why the Americans need to feel "ashamed". They appear to have done extensive research on this thing; something that we have not seen in India so far. And, they are using it to help all kinds of people including those with impaired mental functioning. Indians used to do it only as punishment or as penitence before Vinayaka. Agreed that this practice must have developed in India for good reasons; but, how many Indians try to understand the reasons for their practices?
Our punishments are Yoga therapy!!! WOW,. now i want to go back to school.
I wonder why don't teachers tell them. for me when i was studying punishment was a bad thing. but if i had know that its a therapy i would have followed by myself everyday.
Awesome INDIA, what we have told to do always has a perfect reason.
God this was usually done in INDIA 4 centuries ... usually used as a manner of worship of a punishment for kids....n u just found out its effects .GOD u guys r way back r n't ya?????? ;-
@smarvala : Actually, no, they are not "way back". Indians understood this exercise as punishment or penitence. The Americans have discovered that it has great benefits for the mind. We need to appreciate this. No doubt many ancient Indian practices have similar benefits--but how many Indians actually understand why they follow these practices? Indians tend to regard their yogis as "godmen". Some fake Indian yogis even claim to "cure homosexuality"; and their words are accepted blindly.
