Im trying to run it but it doesnt show up on the desktop. and ive cheked on all the folders

u can ask Moto when vista will be supported. or you can take it to a verizon store. or borrow a friend's PC w/o vista

Hey i was wondering if this is going to erase all the stuff on my phone and restore it??? i got the krave in like november 08 and i have BLAZE1_01.19.0AP. for software

good question! no, this upgrade leaves all your data, you should not worry. but i always have a back-up of my contacts just in case. But I've done this upgrade on my phone and my friends, all contacts, messages, games and stuff all remain after the upgrade.

no sure, worked fine on my PC, so the drivers and phone are ok, i would guess it is maybe a problem with your PC or USB cable.

cant u just update it through verizon's network. (Settings-Phone-software update.) but when i went there it says there is no update and i still have the crappy dial pad.

sometimes yes, you can do it from the phone. but the latest update (28.02p) cannot, must be done by USB cable.

is the usb cord 4 or 5 pronged?

on the PC side it's the normal 4 contacts, on the phone side (micro usb) it's really small, looks like 6 but i really can't tell, but it is a standard micro usb cable

Will upgrading my software reset my settings? Most importantly, will my contacts still be there?

it's always best to back up your contacts. when i did my upgrade all my contacts and most all settings were saved, so you should be fine

well, they put a lot of updates for a lot of phones there, but i don't own the rizr z3, but all you need is the usb cable, go to the site and plug the phone in, it will tell you if there is an upgrade for that phone or not.

no, it does not. but it's a common microUSB, so you may already have it, else it cost less than $3... or you can just take the phone to a verzion store for free

It came with mine, with a travel charger.

i think you only get a travel charger (with USB tip) but the USB data cable has to be bought some where else (unless you get the phone on ebay and someone thows it in)
