Cryan' Shames were an outstanding band. I used to sneak into Blue Village Club in Westmont, IL when I was in Jr. High School just to hear the Cryan Shames in the 1960s.
I spent many weekend nights hanging out at the Blue Village. The Mayor and village board members back then disliked the 'hangout'; which eventually led to the club closing. It was nice to see the current mayor and village board support a tribute to the Blue Village two yars ago at the annual Taste of Westmont. The Ides of March, The Buckingham's, The Cryan' Shames and Ronnie Rice have also appeared at the Taste of Westmont, which is a weekend fest held every July. Thanks for your comments.
