@27tanderson do the exhaust first and headers later. if you're gonna buy long tube headers though don't buy an h-pipe or x-pipe to work with your stock manifolds otherwise you'll have to buy a new one when you do the headers b/c you'll need a shorter one
@27tanderson change all the piping and mufflers first if you wanna keep shorty headers if you want long tube headers change everything at the same time...you exhaust system passed the headers is what is gonna make a big diff..hope this helps
lol i have the exact same car except mine is cherry red and ive been thinking about putting some tips on it and/or headers. if was to do one at a time, which should i do first to make it sound better?
P.S. stock rims ftw!!!! lol jkjk i still have 'em too XD
I've got a 04 Convertible V6, and I want to put a new exhaust on her. My V8 truck is running Flow 40's from the cat back, same setup as you got here. The truck is pretty loud, and I want my Mustang to sound deeper, but not as loud as the truck. Are the Pipes noticeably loud with normal driving and not flooring it? Thanks.
@vulpixgrant They are loud enough that I don't enjoy taking people for rides because it's not exactly pleasant to hold a conversation with the noise, but if you're driving on your own it's not too bad. I always have music on and it drowns out the sound of the exhaust for the most part. Unfortunately with a V6 there isn't much in between when it comes to aftermarket exhaust..
Don't get me wrong though, if I had to redo my exhaust I'd go with this setup again, but it can get annoying at times
The problem is the H-pipe when I had no midpipe it wasnt as loud outside of the car or as deep, but once I got the h welded in the inside of the car with the windows closed was really loud espicially under 2k RPM's
Get divorced duals they are cheaper and less annoying
I got a 00 mustang V6 because the car insurence would be 2000 more if i went with a V8, if your 19, stick with the V6 unless you have your parents paying for it lol
@JamesmcfarGT2007 I'm so sick and tired of you fag V8 owners. So you drive a V8, whoop de fucking do. Does that make you a God of the highway? Many of us who drive V6 Mustangs are still in school. I'm in college and I could not afford the insurance and the cost of school. Why don't you stop acting like you're Mr. fucking perfect and grow the fuck up? Why don't you save your money and by a V12? Douchebag!!!!!
online. summit racing and street side auto are good companies to buy from. if your looking at flowmasters then they are Force II exhaust system. cost about 415-520.
honestly save up...i had a single super 40 installed n it sounds pretty ricey from 1k to 2300...then sounds decent after that...im saving up for another super 40 n just gonna have them go true dual
It is cat-back, which means they cut the pipes right after the catalytic converters, and then bent the piping to fit and accommodate the two mufflers.
Come on REV THAT UP!

@vulpixgrant if u take out the catalitic convers than it kinda makes it more of a low humm insted of a higher pitch sound when reving it
