Its too simplistic and misinformed to say that petty crimes are low in Japan due to the presence of the yakuza - in fact crime rates are commonly low in countries that have higher standards of education, higher standards of living and a peaceful culture.
I can't believe a professor actually spouts such simplistic amateurish viewpoints which borders on spreading a mythical opinion like this guy ..
