Dexter's character is badass. They have taken away a lot of the things I like about him in the last season, but I still like him.

And Quinn is no Doakes. He's more of a douche, whereas Doakes was more of a likeable asshole... Miss him.

Guyz read the friggin books. In the second book (which has nothing to do in plot with the series) Doaks is a victim of a killer who ambutates his victims - mostly guys that were in El Salvador (if i am right) as troops. Read the books! Doaks couldnt be because after the second book there is NO Doaks. Oh. And the series isnt really by-the-book on the first season also.

its not erik king that was written out. it was the doakes character. there is no way they could have a character get so close to finding out about the real dexter and then actually do it without being killed off. remember, if it was about erik king, doakes wouldnt have been made such a major character in season 2.
