6 strings make a totally different style of bass playing possible. Besides that, it takes skill to "master" a 6-string bass, meaning to compose / cover songs, that have such a wide range of notes. Your comment just shows, how much of a child you are... grow up!

This song would be a lot more tedious on a 4-string. He would have to tune his bass a whole 4th lower, and it won't even give the same sound. Because the E-string he is tunning was designed to be in the 2nd octive (E2) not the 1st (B1).
