Wow, this game had some classic 8-bit gore didn't it. Kinda shocking to see this actually. I wish I had experienced this as a kid. I'd have slept with the lights on for a month XD.

It's rarity is moderate; the game goes for about seventy-five bucks just for the cartidge, while a boxed copy can easily nab a three hundred dollar price. That seems like a lot, but there are atari 2600 games that commend thousands of dollars, so Halloween isn't incredibly rare, just not easy to find.

The nicest touch in the game is the way that it handles a "game over." The screen displays all of the rooms of the house as the Halloween theme plays ominously, an ending which is very reminiscent of the final shots of the film itself.

The whole AVGN thing is an act. Remember his review of Simon's Quest back in the day? He re-reviewed it in the castlevania series he did this month and was more fair to it and admitted to liking it somewhat. His shtick back then was an act, not all the games he reviewed he hated.
