Carefully take each loop off each pin and take your work off the spool. Then thread the end of the yarn through each loop. Pull tight and hide the end of the yarn inside the cord.

Or to make sure it doesn't unravel, as you take each loop off the spool, feed the yarn end through each loop as you take it off.

Do you Know how to loom knit? If you do it's the same. Though if you want to learn you would want to check out a knitting book that involves with spool knitting.
