It's like the Hebrew word translated as "fool" which doesn't mean one who is stupid or simple. Atheists vs. Christians....Can we be anymore typical. Listen, I don't care about what people believe in. All I care about is what part of your religion do you actually USE. what part of it actually helps others with the necessities to life? Thats what counts. How does your belief reciprocate into positive behavior? I could care less who died on a cross or who you think is going to heaven. The ONLY thing I care about is the well being of people. Thats it. The point I was trying to make was that, while you may not second guess yourself for fear of going to hell, everyone second guesses themselves without an absolute basis for their morality.
This is not "free thinking", but simply a desire for independence from the laws of God.
