in the video you say its better to root using adb, why? whats the downside to this way of rooting?

is it harder to update via this root? is in not as stable?

The adb method isnt a better method. Its just better to know the proper method because root toolkits arent always available @speedoguy

Hey man, great video but a quick question. After it hast if my fastbooter is thre when i am rooting, i press 1 and my computer just restarts. any idea of whats wrong?

Hey......

Just wanted to let you know that the PnpUtil in the data folder of WugFresh's Root tool kit is showing corrupted on my download. I can't install the hacks. Is this something I should let Wug know about? Not sure why or how anyone else is using the download, but......hey. Ya know?!

What does it mean when you get the message "rundll32.exe newdev.dll,DeviceInternetSetti­ngUi" specified something or other.... not found.

The phone was plugged in at that point.... whether it told me to or not. Nothings working. Not sure what to do. I wish you had a video from start to finish with the "system variables" and "drivers" buttons tutorials. That would be the ultimate help. I know your busy, though. Something like that would be worth a ..... sizeable donation. ;-) Just something to think about. Take care.

Yes... I did everything to the detail in the the "manual install" section Parts 1&2. But it says not to plug your phone in until told to do so. If I don't plug it in, how is it supposed to know if it is ADB or Bootloader. It shows the right drivers in the "Device Manager" section when it is "on". In bootloader mode is where I run into the problem. In the end, it says "waiting for device" and does not find my phone. So, It can't, or won't, complete the unlocking process.

Think I am going to give the "Superboot" a shot instead. Heck..... I don't even plug my phone in in the ADB terminal, because it doesn't tell you too. Anywayz.....

Hey.....

This is very frustrating. I know..... you've heard that a million times. It's a problem somewhere between the back of the chair and the computer screen :-} I have a problem with the fastboot while in bootloader mode. It won't update the "Android 1.0" to a readable device. I've done everything in the on screen tutorial at your website. I uninstalled from device manager, rescanned and everything. Browsed for driver from comp. I have all of the proper Samsung Drivers installed.

Hi Shane, k found out the problem both ways to unlock and root. Both tools do not play well with xp. used a 7box and now I have all the unlock and rooted glory in the world, hey can you make a tutorial on how to flash to ykju from yukju++++ so that we can all get our otas from the might Google. you rock man, Thanx a mill for all your help and vids.

this is idiotic, when I run the exe it states some files are corrupt and may not run properly, and the dialog box looks like something out of windows 3.1 not anything like what is on the video. I guess I am not meant to have an easy way to unlock and root my phone.

I'm already unlocked. I used the fastboot method from you web sit. But if I want to use this method to root will it mess up the files I already have that I got for using the fastboot method. That way works for me but I like the idea of this new way. I just don't want to mess anything up that I have. I guess what I'm asking will the over right what I have.
