  • Lovely controlled round, fab horse - but are you sure those jumps are 2ft9, because in england 2ft9 is bigger than that? xxxxxxxx

  • I like how you didn't try to race him around like he was a race horse! Pretty! I hate when people jumping 2'9 gallop around the course because the jumps are so little.

  • I love riding hunters and I honestly dont think it's boring I'm also doing jumpers but I definitely kno how to do both and I can ride so for all of those peole who are saying hunters can't ride there greatly mistaken. It's basically the same thing but jumpers u go a little faster. And true riders appreciate all riding types no matter how " boring" it may be.

  • that horse has REALLY nice transitions i just wish that he would be a little bit more smooth over the jumps but the jump at 1:09 was PERFECT!!!

  • what breed age and height is the horse? he georgeous!!!

  • Unfortunately in Hunters it is hard to judge because all the opinions are subjective to the judge of that day and the turn out of the competitors. In jumpers and eventing the scoring is definitive and it makes it more fair (if you want to look at it that way). Either way this is good riding and a nice horse and rider pair :)

  • Wish I could get my mare to jump like this! Nice ride, cute horse! :)

  • love the song

  • Good rider and a good horse they look good together. How long had she been riding at this point and how old is the horse ? Great vid :D

  • How old is that girl?!

  • also, gorgeous horse, great rider. :] hunters isn't what i'm into personally (eventing's my jam), but i can still appreciate good riding in a different discipline.

  • They look fantastic !

  • Is that serenas older sister?

  • @GalANDSporty yes

  • I love that she didn't rush and took her time to make everything perfect :)

    lovely horse and rider

  • 14 is not young, im 12 and i jump 3ft (not that it matters) but great vid :)

  • 14 doesnt mean young! im 12 and i jump 3 ft (not that it matters(: ) but great vid

  • ha..thats weird. I'm 14 and my horse looks a lot like that. I'm not jumping that high yet, I wish. haha

  • ive ridden both hunters and jumpers, and they both have their pros and cons, but nothing about either of them is easy. I have to say I prefer jumpers by a lot, but i respect anyone who rides horses in either jumpers or hunters.

  • She's a really good rider

  • hey u no julia m from rw im her frend!!!!

  • Very nice job, both horse and rider.

  • Nicce courseee[:

  • To everybody who keeps saying hunters is so bad, its really not. Its just different. There are bad riders in every kind of riding that doesnt mean all hunters suck. I event and do IEA(hunters), they both just take a difference ride. Hunters you have to consintrate on strides, speed, equatation, ect. And if thats not for you, fine! You people who keep commenting on hunters are just making yourselfs look very close-minded

  • @YawningDiamond I agree with you completely. I'm not a huge fan of hunters but I do respect the difficulty of it and the skill it takes to ride hunters. I have been trained in jumpers for 3 years and just started riding hunter. I found out that it wasn't for me and I'm not a huge fan, but I still respect the skill, concentration, and style of riding it takes to ride hunters well. But, I have to say, I will always be a jumper at heart! :)

  • @brooklyn1311 ummmm u really should do hunters before jumpers so you can get the right rhythm and feel......... u should still use position u learned in hunters in jumpers cuz if u get all sloppy........ then you'll probably fall

  • @Horses4evr98 shes just fine doing jumpers... shes really good at it too :D

  • the girl doesnt look that young

  • @antcinq she was 14

  • I show in the 3'6-3'9 hunters. It's about riding properly. You get marked down for things like improper position, unbalanced horse. it's about showing off your horse. If your horse has to rush fences to jump high, your most likely unbalanced and you probably should not be jumping at all. I ride all my hunter classes in a full seat actually. I've shown jumper, and won. Hunter poses as more of a challenge because it forces you to ride your horse properly and elegently.

  • @equestrianxsteph ohh i thought you ment she was 8 or something

  • people are crap who say that about hunters i love hunters i love the perfection and who says u have to go slow?If u go to the top in hunters it aint that low plus i luve being judged and proving im the best. jumpers are ok it just make me mad wen people say that it makes me angry its not crap honestly hunters make u a better rider. I know u are doing hunt seant but we also do equitation and u have to sit for that so we know how to do that were not dumb

  • @kickbuttequestrian, no offense but I signed up the IEA once.. I was new to Hunters and all that Hunter-y things.. because I was new to the States and I thought Hunters over fences was like Jumpers but apparently it's not. In my opinion, I think Hunters is pretty gay... pick a country in the world that does Hunters besides the States and maybe Canada since they're close. If you wanna look pretty on a horse, just do a photoshoot, lol.

  • Love the horse and rider!! Awesome team!! =D Thunderbird always has the best courses haha

  • YES they do

  • @MsDappledGrey I completely agree with you about Hunters! I did Hunters for the first time this year and it was the shittiest ride ever!

  • MsDappledGrey im a hunter rider and i also do jumpers i jump 3'3-3'9 and actually you should do hunters first to get the basics down. If you go into jumpers you wont learn to slow down and take it easy. Just because hunters are slow doesnt mean the rider is a horrible rider... ALOT of pros do hunters and jumpers.. Think before you speak... Or else you just look like a retard...

  • @JackAndArora,Just letting you know Hunters doesnt teach you, your basics.Because when you're doing the Hunter seat you're usually forward and with the horse. What if they give you a strong moving horse, you wanna be forward with him? Good luck with that.&I did Hunter it was boring as hell. You learn your basics via flatwork.&there's no such thing as "Hunters" around the world apart from the states. It's for pussies who are afraid of speed and height. Hence all the shitty horses are taught "Hunters"

  • you did real good...you should really check hunters shows out.
