@Kriegskind honor is not something that dies, it is always born anew into each era. The shishi were honorable men too, lets not forget about them. While modern japan may not look like it, it has I believe maintained its reverence for the samurai admirably. Maybe its harder to tell what it is to be Japanese these days than it used to be but I think industrialized japan is a wonderful place and its people still have their pride!
