I agree. Harper is getting better all the time. Recently they took a poll on television to find out how many people were against what Harper did regarding income trusts. About 20% were against and the other 80% supported Harper. Sure, a few of the wealthier people lost money but the less wealthy gained by that action. Most politicians ensure it's the other way around. Since there are more "less wealthy" people in Canada than wealthy, he was bound to win support from the great majority.

People were/are disappointed, but it was inevitable. They really need to get over it.
No party was going to let Income Trusts remain untaxed and Harper had to react to the changing situation. I'm sure if he thought he could keep his campaign promise, he would have.

FYI; the income trusts are CURRENTLY taxed, so to say they are "untaxed" is not factual. what these idiots are doing is RAISING the tax rate on these trusts from 5% to somewhere around 20 to 30%.

I dissagree. I think that's a perfectly good reason to rip the stripes off them. If your regiment is actively involved in breaking the laws of the Geneiva Convention, your regiment (a coheisive unit) must answer for that, whether it started in training, or in the feild, all involved with that unit are accessories. With evidence therein, we realize that some psychopath suggested it was a perk. Does that mean that if your generals are psycopathic your soldiers are just following orders???

Yeah, I heard of it. And I think the same thing now, as I thought then. If the individuals themselves had no knowledge and did not support the actions, they'd be swept up by another regiment. Clearly, the entire regiment showed no remorse for the actions of those two. If you put on a uniform, or take a title, you have to be held to a stricter code of conduct. They were, and I approve. Next time the soldiers of Canada better act on behalf of Canada, and not condemn us all by their actions.

Fool, Chretien abolished the Canadian Airborne Regiment and it was because when they were sent to Somalia in 1993, a couple of "natives" in the regiment apparently tortured one or two Somali sand-nigger thieves. That's absolutely not a reason to abolish an elite military unit.

As to what Harper has done to give us our Independance, have shouldered up to the States in war time, I should point out that the State's legitimacy for having gone to has been under fire, since facts surrounding the 9/11 incident has come to light. However, my concern with Harper is that he not only attended the Bilderburg meeting in Ottawa in 2006, but he failed to grant any reasonable explanation for that or his activities therin.
