I agree the Mossberg 500 is one of the best choices out their. I have a Mossberg Maverick 88 (couldn't afford a 500 at the time) which I bought when I was 18. It's actually in 20 gauge but I think 20 gauge will still easily get the job done, and I say that with full confidence. I use remington express #3 buckshot and I live in a center unit townhouse so I feel this is probably the best load for me. I am going to invest into a .38 full size revolver soon to replace my 9mm as my bed stand gun.
I've been reading stuff online and watching videos regarding birdshot for home defense because of the wall penetration thing. The conclusion I seem to be coming to is that birdshot will still penetrate drywall like it is not there and kill people in other rooms, so you might as well use 00 Buckshot and make sure you hit what you aim at because if you miss and someone you don't want to shoot is in the backdrop...
@eurohim It depends on the discussion and who's trying make what point. I recently bought a Taurus Judge (which had nothing to with hype) and the narrative is the 90% of the 410 load is going to be laughed off by the intruder, while the one stray BB (from a pdx1 load) is going to kill my entire family three generations back. It was all about under penetration, unless it was a stray of course. Then I bought a Mossberg 500, and everything was about over penetration.
@toolkien I wonder if there are stats on there about people who killed their family members or neighbors when defending against a home invasion. I can't find any which makes me think that it must be quite rare because you know anti-gun people would want that to be on every news station. People empty guns shooting at people 6 feet away from them and miss...
@kenlee514 Benelli M4 is also almost 4x as much. Don't get me wrong, I would love to own one and plan on it. But a Mossberg 500 is easily the more economical solution.
Never shoot that inside a room. Shoot that inside a room and you go completely deaf for 5 minutes. That gun will shoot the kids in the next room. .410 with #4 shot won't go thru 2 sheets of 1/2" drywall. and easier on the ears.

Need a referral? Call your primary physician, they'll fax it within 72 hrs. Good luck. Some of your stuff is good but how do you apply it to a shotgun?
@pranksterguy1 I use a 20 guage, too but I use a shoulder stock.Any longer range than 7 yards & you're just hoping to hit.Shotgun pellets from a cylinder choke disperse radially only 1" per yard of linear travel.I.E if the target is 7 yards away, the shot will spread out only 7 inces. You CAN miss with a shotgun & in a self defense situation, that is not a good thing.
People don't think about over-penetration as they should. That's why I thing a rifle or large handgun is not as safe for home use, especially if you have kids or roommates. Those high powered rounds will go through the bad guy and the wall behind him into your kids room--not at all a good thing. I use a Mos590 and use No. 4 shot. At close range, it will put a one inch whole through the bad guy and stop at the wall.
Just for the record...I have "stolen" the posting of comments and answered questions that went unanswered but I am not the "owner". You've never heard me speak. I think the accent is irrelevant (the video is about home defense). Why don't you guys show a bit of goodwill and reveal your identities? Don't be upset, I am just curious and promise no trouble. You do own a shotgun, right?
Yeah! Love shotguns. I have the 590A1 with a light on it. Its awesome firepower 8+1 capacity, but I would like something shorter for the house. Thinking of doing the paperwork and getting a short one. Mossberg of course. BTW great video. You know your shit. I too can't stand it when jerks say you don't need to aim a shotgun. But I disagree on slugs. I live in the country with no nearby neighbours. If someone is stealing a horse 50 yards away the slugs get popped in. Happy hunting! :-)
@Jammaster1972 BIG YES. Add a light+laser (sometimes combined already) & you are much better off. Add a folding stock...you are almost a pro. Add a SHOTGUN sling & you're a killer. Use ammo such as: Winchester Super X Magnum and/or Remington HD. Aim high...chest & head. This ammo I recommended works so well it will immobilize anyone if they are lucky to get hit in their legs (they could be on pure CristalMeth but can't walk w/o legs or arms). It will destroy a limb without a doubt. PRACTICE!
I cked out the VID RESPONSE "MOSSBERG 500,12 GAUGE SHOTGUN REVIEW-SHTF",& it turns out that it's censored. If you write a polite, well written comment "awomansworld123" doesn't feel is "in line" with her thinking or contradicts her or gives her negative feedback,it will not be posted.I am used to men conducting weapon's review but I can always learn something new, specially from someone different..I was dissapointed & she's too inexperienced.I wanted to see what everyone thought.SHAME ON YOU!
@kosmosleha Under federal law it is illegal for a private citizen to possess a sawed-off modern smokeless powder shotgun; a shotgun with a barrel length shorter than 18 inches (46 cm) or an overall length shorter than 26 inches (66 cm). Then you have to check your State's laws. I would EXCLUDE Benelli. You can have a sawed-off shotgun but need to apply with ATF & pay a tax.
@cosmosleha; 1)high shell capacity (4 at least).; 2)pump action; 3)reasonably priced; 4) 10 or 12 gauge only; 5) When standing straight hold the shotgun with one hand & it should not touch the floor (shotgun empty, one hand on the grip) 6) it has to have a flashlight attached to it. This would be my criteria when selecting one of them.
@kosmosleha Depends where he is at. Here in the US, each state has a different gun law for different things like length. California having the most strict gun laws.
Birdshot as home defense maybe. Got thin walls and running with a full chock (Yes) if a Creakhead invades your home and blow out his knee caps. Problem solved and he won't be doing that shit agian. But like always check your state and local laws on self defense/ property
Glock doesn't have a safety.Always ready to fire.Top sellong gun used by all US police, HomeLandSec, Etc combined. With a Glock 22 has 15 bullets.BUT YOU HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO SHOOT WELL.POLICE OFFICERS MISS MOST TIMES.With the shotgun you'll be ok.
HERE IS THE DEAL, You can get a $120 shotgun from Big 5 and make sure it goes BANG every time, $100 .22 handgun that goes BANG every time (.22 has killed more people in America than all others combined, look it up) a $100 .22 rifle that goes BANG every time! You have home defense, every day carry, an survival. Intruders & game don't care about brand, looks, L.A.S.E.R.S. or caliber. With ammo, $400 bucks, and your set. Am I jealous? Hell yes! Does it matter? Hell no! Same result. LEARN TO SHOOT!
A foregrip is easier to hide under & behind stuff. It is also cheap (standard).A pistolgrip serves well if you do not have (or have removed) the buttstock. You need either, to help you control the weapon and minimize recoil/shock.I prefer to have both, just like the model shown (with the special buttstock) because it reduces recoil/shock & enhances maneuverability/aim.
If you're somehow familiar with waepons...shoot the limbs...save the hadshot for questioning "why are you here"? :)
America is a free country thanks to having the largest army in the world...the right to defend yourself and family. We are light years ahead of other countries. Happy 2012 and start the year with a membership to NRA and a Conceal Weapon license. Don't let the politicians take it away from us.
EXCELLENT INFO. Look no further. Imagine you are facing an attacker(s) & you can't see, aim, police is too slow, you have zero to little training, etc. A cheap 12 gauge shotgun such as the one depicted is your best friend. Double buck is just what you need. Slugs are for people familiar with guns and aiming at a target, you can miss 5 times in a row. Double buck, 12 gauge, get some training at you local range, and don't think too much: SHOOT UNTIL YOU ARE OUT OF AMMO...the get your handgun
im thinking about buying this shotgun and my local dealer only sells it without a stock. is it easy to find an after market reliable one? is your stock after market?
I need to buy a fire arm for home protection. What gun or shotgun should i buy? i know nothing about fire arms. I know i need to get educated, i guess this is the first step, knowing what to buy.
@tmz90 Get a 12 gauge shotgun.Little practice required at your local range.Follow safety rules like your life depends on it.Bass Pro Shops is selling a "Savage Arms" 12 gauge "Ithaca" replica that holds 6 2-3/4 shells for less than $200.Do not use slugs.Use Double buck shells.Get some range training and hope you never have to shoot. But when the moment comes shoot without mercy, dont think. You will have time to think and thank this little weapon that has no match in the world of self defense.
@tmz90 I carry 2 handguns at all time:H&K 45 & Glock 27.I sleep with a HECKLER & KOCH USC W/ UMP Conversion (full auto). It is a very expensive weapon and I would not change it for a shotgun if it was not FULL AUTO (like a shotgun, I do not have to aim). This is a video of it (not mine): "H&K UMP 40 S&W Full auto --- stress relief 101".Earlier I commented that I recently purchased a 12Gauge "Savage Arms" Ithaca replica but I do not recomend it because some people have reported problems.
@tmz90 Again: I would buy the Mossberg 500 & the only thing I would change is add a set of powerful lights that are attached to it the weapon (sold specifically for that purpose-sometimes recomended by shotgun manufacturer) so you do not have to worry about holding one (in case there is no power). Then I would practice/take lessons in a local INDOOR range. You need to know how to use it.Also, if you can, buy a handgun (the recommendation is different for males/females).I recommend Glock.
I'm a big fan of the Mossberg 500 & think it's one of the best buys for the reliability.
For pistol -- get a revolver and don't listen to the semi-auto fans. Unless you spend hours of practice every week you don't need the uncertainty of a semi-auto .... trying to remember, at 3 am when you're half asleep, whether the safety is on ... where the damned safety IS, for that matter ... or whether there is one in the chute.
@tmz90 Mossberg 500 is a good choice. Excellent for many game situations. I'm sure that if you bought 00 aught buck, that would take out deers and intruders alike
I have a Home defense arsenal that I hope that I will never have to use. Long to Medium range: Springfield M1A. Mid to Short Range Exterior: Mossberg 500 with shock assortment stock and red dot sights with AR- style iron sights for backup and for interior I have two Auto ordnance M1911’s. Like I said I hope that the only time I ever fire these at range but if I ever need to I’m well equipped
The problem with a shotgun for defense is you assume all the bad guys are in front of you and the good guys are behind you. What are you going to do when the bad guy has your mother by the throat? Double oo buck would kill both your mother and the bad guy. The best home defense is a well trained person with a pistol. By that I mean someone that rains a couple of times a month and can hit a six inch circle at 20 yards. That equates to shooting the guy in the head that has your mother's throat
@sanity599 Good comments. I agree that a hand gun can be very effective for ahostage "knife at the throat" situation. A shot gun however, is a GREAT weapon for stopping several intruders as they come through your window, much more effective than a hand gun. Conclusion: Get a handgun and shor gun and like you said, practice with them so you are a good shot.
@slickdog2100 I always know when a post starts off "Dude" that it's going to be just plain stupid. Lots of people have their mother live with them. But it could also be their wife or their daughter. But it might be their son. And if that was you I am sure your parent would start blasting away with the shotgun. Hope lives eternal.
@admiralandersen in italy you can't take a gun for home defence easy... you must have a lot of permits to buy one..... the law here says" you can give back what you've taken..." how can i give back something with a bullet in my head?!?
@grillo1985 Italy is going down the tubes if you haven't noticed. It's on the verge of bankruptcy just like Greece. To many stupid people making laws that don't work then taxing the shit out of the people to pay for it. Gee sounds just like the fall of ancient Rome.
@grillo1985 Save your European bull. Italy is one of the number one makers of weapons. Berettas, Benelli, etc, etc. Shut up. Stop hating the US for being NUMERO UNO. You exist because of us. SERIOUSLY! and you know it. Learn to say thanks. And also for buying your crappy handguns for our army who should be using AMERICAN MADE weapons, not your crap (which we buy only to keep you happy and feeling useful). LOOOOSER.
@SOSBELLY It must suck to live in a country where guns are allowed. Apparently it fosters people who think that not carrying a gun is retarded. I would say it's the other way around. I guess school was boring...
@admiralandersen...Actually, I am not from around here...but this is one of the things I love the most. The freedom that you lack.A lot of people don't carry.A lot of people buy it, shoot it once and never touch it again.Women in my family hate guns so I refrain from showing.I carry 2 high caliber permanently.Go to the range often(my secret). But THERE ARE MILLIONS OF AMERICAN THAT HATE GUNS & DON'T HAVE ONE. Why would you choose to check out this video if you are not interested?
Well, u probably won't need more than one round or more than a double-barreled Coach gun. But a Saiga has a 20 round drum magazine & is semi-automatic. Imagine not only taking out a few burglars, but also an entire wall! Wouldn't the cops be more impressed?
@Imakeplanesboom please explain why in detail....i plan on getting the 8 shot, rifle sights, heavy barrel,parkarized....did you have a bad experience with one? or multiple guns?
@rbrittne First off, It's a cheap plastic gun. It's ok for home defense, but that's about it. Benelli makes a semi auto for about a grand, long barrel perfect overall weapon.
@Imakeplanesboom Honestly, when it comes to shotguns, I have no interest in automatic-only. There are some wonderful home defence rounds that can't be fired from an automatic, due to their lower velocity. Don't forget that home defence isn't about having the biggest or fastest round. It's about having the most lethal round (or most effective round for dropping your target) WHILE not having so much penetration power that it goes through your walls, or otherwise causes collateral damage.
@Imakeplanesboom Fine, but you're still neglecting the fact that many people have different preferences for home defence weapons... and in a discussion pertaining to shotguns, your OTHER guns don't quite matter. Pump and auto shotguns are two VERY different classes of guns. This man has chosen a pump. Going auto isn't an upgrade... for many (including myself) it's a downgrade. Unless there is an option to switch (as seen on the SPAS 12 and 15)
@Imakeplanesboom Semi-automatic is the technical term, but "auto" is perfectly acceptible, provided you don't say "fully automatic" due to the general void of full-auto shotguns in the world. But that's cool, the usual response when one has run out of anything constructive to say is critiquing the terminology of the individual he/she is arguing with.
@Imakeplanesboom You can bash the term all you want, you know full well what I was talking about. You're an arrogant (and ignorant) prick if you're going to bash a person's choice of shotgun on a video he posted... just because it's a pump action instead of a semi-auto. Try to show superiority through the elitism of arrogance in terminology doesn't make your argument more valid. It merely shows that you jump to any and everything you can to defend yourself... while still remaining a prick.
@Imakeplanesboom Semi-automatic is not superior to pump. Semi-automatic can only fire higher velocity shells, and cannot fire most less-than-lethal rounds or specialty rounds. It's a different classification entirely. While you can throw more lead down-range faster with a semi, you can throw specialty rounds down range with a pump that NO semi-automatic has the capacity to use.
@Marcownz747 Less than lethal defeats the purpose of a shotgun. And specialty rounds? How often do those come in handy? I have 8 shotguns, 4 pump, 2 semi, an under and over, and a side by side. Perfect for any condition.
@Imakeplanesboom "less than lethal defeats the purpose of a shotgun". No, it doesn't. The only people who say rubber bullets are useless are those who have never been shot by one. The fact that a round is made of rubber doesn't mean it won't drop an attacker for a long time. It means that there's a better chance he'll wake up eventually than die. It also means there's a smaller chance of ME dying if the gun is turned around on me. It ALSO means my family is at a lower risk.
@Imakeplanesboom If somebody breaks into my house, I want to stop them while NOT putting my family at risk. Most gun deaths in homes are the result of the owners gun being turned on him. If I can pull my gun and drop the man in my house, I will. If I had to do it with a lethal round, so be it. However, if that gun IS turned on me, I want it to have a smaller chance of killing me.
@Marcownz747 That may have been true at one point, but it isn't any longer. Most quality semi-auto shotguns on the market these days are capable of firing light and heavy loads alike. As for LTL, well, LTLs are illegal to civilians anyways, so that hardly matters.
@ChishioAme less than lethal rounds are NOT illegal for civilians. It depends on the state you live in, and I know 100% that in New York, there isn't a state law prohibiting civilians from owning specialty or less than lethal rounds. Specific ones? Yes. But as an across the board rule? no.
@Marcownz747 It may have just been specialty LTL weapons I was thinking of. Either way, good to know. I'd rather shoot someone in the face with a rubber bullet than 00 buckshot; blood is a right pain in the ass to get out of carpet.
I am thinking to buy one of these for home defence. Can you tell me what model is your gun of the Mossberg 500 series ?
I also agree with KevinKimbrellSC for the rock salt shells. Are there any in the market (and which of them you suggest me) to buy or I must make my own.
This is NOT a good choice for urban HOME defense. Fire this cannon in your home with 00 buckshot & you'll be probably still shoot your neighbors on the other side of the wall as well as end up completely stone DEAF and in JAIL.
I think you have home defense confused with urban combat.
If you have close neighbors then you are going to have to go with smaller caliber weapons, stun guns, or best yet - spend your money on better locks or bars for all windows & doors as well as a security system.
@hkudshfksudhbikshwkj He was talking about the effectiveness of birdshot, which should certainly be no one's choice for use against an intruder, on drugs or otherwise.
What kind of finish is that on the gun???

@pranksterguy1 I use a 20 guage, too but I use a shoulder stock.Any longer range than 7 yards & you're just hoping to hit.Shotgun pellets from a cylinder choke disperse radially only 1" per yard of linear travel.I.E if the target is 7 yards away, the shot will spread out only 7 inces. You CAN miss with a shotgun & in a self defense situation, that is not a good thing.
doughesson 1 month ago

Would it make a difference to you in a pistol grip shot gun if you used a sight laser and shoot it from the hip?
Jammaster1972 1 month ago
@Jammaster1972 BIG YES. Add a light+laser (sometimes combined already) & you are much better off. Add a folding stock...you are almost a pro. Add a SHOTGUN sling & you're a killer. Use ammo such as: Winchester Super X Magnum and/or Remington HD. Aim high...chest & head. This ammo I recommended works so well it will immobilize anyone if they are lucky to get hit in their legs (they could be on pure CristalMeth but can't walk w/o legs or arms). It will destroy a limb without a doubt. PRACTICE!

SOSBELLY 1 month ago
@cosmosleha; 1)high shell capacity (4 at least).; 2)pump action; 3)reasonably priced; 4) 10 or 12 gauge only; 5) When standing straight hold the shotgun with one hand & it should not touch the floor (shotgun empty, one hand on the grip) 6) it has to have a flashlight attached to it. This would be my criteria when selecting one of them.

WINCHESTER SUPER X MAGNUM BUCKSHOT, or

Let me know if you practice before. You should walk away without a target.

Birdshot as home defense maybe. Got thin walls and running with a full chock (Yes) if a Creakhead invades your home and blow out his knee caps. Problem solved and he won't be doing that shit agian. But like always check your state and local laws on self defense/ property

You have home defense, every day carry, an survival. Intruders & game don't care about brand, looks, L.A.S.E.R.S. or caliber. With ammo, $400 bucks, and your set. Am I jealous? Hell yes!

Double buck, 12 gauge, get some training at you local range, and don't think too much: SHOOT UNTIL YOU ARE OUT OF AMMO...the get your handgun

tmz90 2 months ago
@tmz90 Get a 12 gauge shotgun.Little practice required at your local range.Follow safety rules like your life depends on it.Bass Pro Shops is selling a "Savage Arms" 12 gauge "Ithaca" replica that holds 6 2-3/4 shells for less than $200.Do not use slugs.Use Double buck shells.Get some range training and hope you never have to shoot. But when the moment comes shoot without mercy, dont think. You will have time to think and thank this little weapon that has no match in the world of self defense.
SOSBELLY 2 months ago 5
@SOSBELLY I appreciate your help and knowledge. What fire arm do you own for home protection?
tmz90 2 months ago
SOSBELLY 2 months ago
@tmz90 Again: I would buy the Mossberg 500 & the only thing I would change is add a set of powerful lights that are attached to it the weapon (sold specifically for that purpose-sometimes recomended by shotgun manufacturer) so you do not have to worry about holding one (in case there is no power). Then I would practice/take lessons in a local INDOOR range. You need to know how to use it.Also, if you can, buy a handgun (the recommendation is different for males/females).I recommend Glock.

@tmz90 "What gun or shotgun?"
I'm a big fan of the Mossberg 500 & think it's one of the best buys for the reliability.
For pistol -- get a revolver and don't listen to the semi-auto fans. Unless you spend hours of practice every week you don't need the uncertainty of a semi-auto .... trying to remember, at 3 am when you're half asleep, whether the safety is on ... where the damned safety IS, for that matter ... or whether there is one in the chute.
.38 is adequate,357 is better .

Like I said I hope that the only time I ever fire these at range but if I ever need to I’m well equipped
adamjlemus 2 months ago
The problem with a shotgun for defense is you assume all the bad guys are in front of you and the good guys are behind you. What are you going to do when the bad guy has your mother by the throat? Double oo buck would kill both your mother and the bad guy. The best home defense is a well trained person with a pistol. By that I mean someone that rains a couple of times a month and can hit a six inch circle at 20 yards. That equates to shooting the guy in the head that has your mother's throat
sanity599 2 months ago
@sanity599 Good comments. I agree that a hand gun can be very effective for ahostage "knife at the throat" situation. A shot gun however, is a GREAT weapon for stopping several intruders as they come through your window, much more effective than a hand gun. Conclusion: Get a handgun and shor gun and like you said, practice with them so you are a good shot.

@Imakeplanesboom please explain why in detail....i plan on getting the 8 shot, rifle sights, heavy barrel,parkarized....did you have a bad experience with one? or multiple guns?
rbrittne 3 months ago
@rbrittne First off, It's a cheap plastic gun. It's ok for home defense, but that's about it. Benelli makes a semi auto for about a grand, long barrel perfect overall weapon.
Imakeplanesboom 3 months ago
@Imakeplanesboom Honestly, when it comes to shotguns, I have no interest in automatic-only. There are some wonderful home defence rounds that can't be fired from an automatic, due to their lower velocity. Don't forget that home defence isn't about having the biggest or fastest round. It's about having the most lethal round (or most effective round for dropping your target) WHILE not having so much penetration power that it goes through your walls, or otherwise causes collateral damage.
Marcownz747 3 months ago
@Marcownz747 That's why I have a glock23 .45 acp, and a beowulf just in case
Imakeplanesboom 3 months ago
@Imakeplanesboom Fine, but you're still neglecting the fact that many people have different preferences for home defence weapons... and in a discussion pertaining to shotguns, your OTHER guns don't quite matter. Pump and auto shotguns are two VERY different classes of guns. This man has chosen a pump. Going auto isn't an upgrade... for many (including myself) it's a downgrade. Unless there is an option to switch (as seen on the SPAS 12 and 15)
Marcownz747 3 months ago
@Marcownz747 You keep saying auto, you must mean semi auto. Derp. And I have plenty of pump and semi auto shotguns.
Imakeplanesboom 3 months ago
@Imakeplanesboom Semi-automatic is the technical term, but "auto" is perfectly acceptible, provided you don't say "fully automatic" due to the general void of full-auto shotguns in the world. But that's cool, the usual response when one has run out of anything constructive to say is critiquing the terminology of the individual he/she is arguing with.
Marcownz747 3 months ago
@Marcownz747 Auto and fully auto are the same, auto and semi auto are not. And I'll answer any question you'd like. Stupid responder.
Imakeplanesboom 3 months ago
@Imakeplanesboom You can bash the term all you want, you know full well what I was talking about. You're an arrogant (and ignorant) prick if you're going to bash a person's choice of shotgun on a video he posted... just because it's a pump action instead of a semi-auto. Try to show superiority through the elitism of arrogance in terminology doesn't make your argument more valid. It merely shows that you jump to any and everything you can to defend yourself... while still remaining a prick.
Marcownz747 3 months ago
@Marcownz747 How am I making fun of his choice? Are you competent? I was helping the viewers choose a better, more superior one. Open your eyes!
Imakeplanesboom 3 months ago
@Imakeplanesboom Semi-automatic is not superior to pump. Semi-automatic can only fire higher velocity shells, and cannot fire most less-than-lethal rounds or specialty rounds. It's a different classification entirely. While you can throw more lead down-range faster with a semi, you can throw specialty rounds down range with a pump that NO semi-automatic has the capacity to use.
Marcownz747 3 months ago
@Marcownz747 Less than lethal defeats the purpose of a shotgun. And specialty rounds? How often do those come in handy? I have 8 shotguns, 4 pump, 2 semi, an under and over, and a side by side. Perfect for any condition.
Imakeplanesboom 3 months ago
@Imakeplanesboom "less than lethal defeats the purpose of a shotgun". No, it doesn't. The only people who say rubber bullets are useless are those who have never been shot by one. The fact that a round is made of rubber doesn't mean it won't drop an attacker for a long time. It means that there's a better chance he'll wake up eventually than die. It also means there's a smaller chance of ME dying if the gun is turned around on me. It ALSO means my family is at a lower risk.
Marcownz747 3 months ago
@Marcownz747 If someone breaks into my house, I want him dead. Less than lethal IS USELESS.
Imakeplanesboom 3 months ago
@Imakeplanesboom If somebody breaks into my house, I want to stop them while NOT putting my family at risk. Most gun deaths in homes are the result of the owners gun being turned on him. If I can pull my gun and drop the man in my house, I will. If I had to do it with a lethal round, so be it. However, if that gun IS turned on me, I want it to have a smaller chance of killing me.
Marcownz747 3 months ago
@Marcownz747 if your gun gets turned on you, you deserve to die.
Imakeplanesboom 3 months ago
@Imakeplanesboom You sound ignorant.
RAIZEDBYWOLVEZ 3 months ago

Imakeplanesboom 3 months ago
@Marcownz747 That may have been true at one point, but it isn't any longer. Most quality semi-auto shotguns on the market these days are capable of firing light and heavy loads alike. As for LTL, well, LTLs are illegal to civilians anyways, so that hardly matters.
ChishioAme 3 months ago
@ChishioAme less than lethal rounds are NOT illegal for civilians. It depends on the state you live in, and I know 100% that in New York, there isn't a state law prohibiting civilians from owning specialty or less than lethal rounds. Specific ones? Yes. But as an across the board rule? no.
Marcownz747 3 months ago
@Marcownz747 It may have just been specialty LTL weapons I was thinking of. Either way, good to know. I'd rather shoot someone in the face with a rubber bullet than 00 buckshot; blood is a right pain in the ass to get out of carpet.
