@sana6 Acidity in the pages of many cheaper photo albums can turn prints brown. Also, exposure to sunlight with its ultraviolate rays can fade the image (actually break away the important parts of the image on a molecular level). Storage in a moist or damp basement or in a hot and dry attic ruins them as well. Also fingerprints and food stains settle into the print and turn it brown, similar to the way a half-eaten apple turns brown from bacteria.
