Do not close the straightener tightly. If its too closed then it will stop/stuck. Just open it just a little more than you actually would. Also I recommend a smoothing serum, so it can be easier to curl your hair.

I do my hair like this all the time with a flat iron and without even hair spraying it except when teasing and the curls still look good for a whole day. It maybe just depend how you do it, what kind of hair you have and what kind of flat iron your using.

Arhhh, my left side always ended up flat after min and the right side stay curls. Why oh why? i put more strong hold hairspray and hold the curls longer than the other side, i even put hot roller just on the left side, but seems like it didnt want to do it.

@nitaread Hey. I recommend you go slower on the left side and use less hair spray because hair spray weighs it down. Also, when you are done curling the strand of hair, hold the strand on your hand and let it cool down so it won't cool down and get flatter.
