@SuperQuickStick If you're winding out 4th in a stock LS, you're going too fast. I hope you've got brakes and suspension. I've made that mistake and it's cost me dearly.
4000 at 80 is a far trans unless your tach is a lol off I have a b16a with type R cams last year with Gsr trans I ran 15.0 so I'm hoping for 14.6 this year
your revs dont drop under 5k cos thats pretty much where your vtec kicks in. so because the ecu recognizes that your driving at high speeds the ecu reacts with the engine and tranny to keep it no lower than that so u dont lose any power
can you shift a car in the red or when the tach get to the red your engine blows?? and when driving at high rpms whats likely to fail first? retainers and springs or like pistons??

@TPena92 - Exhaust. El cheapo eBay stainless 2.5in with header. Put cold air intake on as well. That's it. Car was smoking like a mofo when this video was made. B18's need to BREATHE!
yea i think its stock ls tranny.....my Rs got gsr tranny and the rpm drops to 5500 not 5000...well if wanna see the difference just check out my vid, gsr tranny pulls pretty good though
How many inches are your rims? Because I have a Ls Teg 97 with Dc Sport headers N1 exhaust and InJen intake. I have 14inches for rims and I cant launch at 3.2. I can only launch at 1.8. So I was just wondering how big your rims or tires are.
Thanks, I had been wondering because I came from 92-95 Civic, and those DX trannys are soooo looooong. I just bought a b18b1 block for next to nothing so I'll be building it soon. I am impressed with what it already does so I'll be happy to see what it does with a new set of rings.
I just have to replace a sensor that's acting up, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. The car just has header and exhaust on it with cold air intake (in the bumper). The car used to be boosted so the rings are all washed out and it smokes a lot. Like I said, I'm wondering what tranny I have because it doesn't seem like a stock LS tranny to me.

Put it in 5th gear and go 80mph if you in 3000-3500 rpms you have an ls 4000-4500 gsr 5000-5500 b16
