@isokessu the designers tend to pick the most epic of encounters between countries, although i have seen a few games where you may be commanding british armies, but you will have platoons of french soldiers because of the non-Vichy french siding with the allies.
This game is very similar to World in Conflict, but it does what Massive Entertainment should have done. Leading entire platoons of tanks and infantry instead of just individual tanks, helicopters, and squads of infantry. Massive should learn from this game.
British faught a lot in japan many brits where captured and tortured in japanese camps and they also defeated germany in the battle of britain you would know this if you researched it. And dont make fun of the French they had no sea around them the Germans could easily drive in USA and Uk had time to build new hardware and train troops.
a lot RTS games focus on germany and russia actually they also have japanese fight in world war 2. I don't know why, japanese also strong in world war 2 even the pearl harbor were destroyed by japanese, that the first time american being counterattack by a small nation. There's a German campaign too, you repel the Americans at Normandy and the Soviet forces as they try to enter Poland. Plus theres always skirmish games where you can play as the Wehrmacht and wipe those yanks and communists off the face of the earth as many times as you like, and that's just marvelous.

The question is not how many, but how good (detailed, balanced, diverse) the maps are. OOW had 6 mp + 18 sp = 24 maps when it was released. A couple of maps are promised to be added every now and then. It's not the matter of quantity (though it's important too), quality is what really matters for me. OOW is a quality strategy with nice campaigns and cool multiplayer. There're games that have 47+ maps, but does this make them better than MOW or OOW? Poor argument.

Norway... Japan wouldnt surrender US even told the Japenese that they have this bomb.. they didnt believe them (dropped 1) told them they have more... japense didnt belive.. and dropped the 2nd one.. then they surrendered

No that is incorect Japan had tried surendering 3 months before the atomc bombs were unleashed and military experts on both the japanies and allied sides knew that japan had been militarily defeated thats pretty much common knowlage dude get your facts straght

France's fighting lasted about as long as it takes to drive a tank to Dunkirk. And Canada!! My god you are a genius. Canadian and British troops served under an AMERICAN supreme commander. When the British got a chance to lead we get operation market garden.

@shoelase17 Makes me disapointed that other nations are not given the credit they deserve now adays, the way WW2 games come out you would think it was the americans all on their own. i dont discredit what the americans did but as an English person, it was my nation that held out on its own before the americans turned up. Thankfuly are pilots and ground crew smashed the germans back at heavy costs on both sides. Its Truely unfair.

The belgian forces enabled the English to evade the expreditionary forces from Dunkirk by slowing down the whehrmacht along with the French... Never seen that in a game neither. Not known by people who only read the backsides of books and look at fancy pictures henceforth commercially uninteresting...

Only generals..fledmarshals like Paulus at Stalingrad ignored a Hitler's order by surrending the remaining troops...and not committied suicide...

There's a German campaign too, you repel the Americans at Normandy and the Soviet forces as they try to enter Poland. Plus theres always skirmish games where you can play as the Wehrmacht and wipe those yanks and communists off the face of the earth as many times as you like, and that's just marvelous.

Did u play this game not to recommend buying it? Bring in some weighty arguments before making such statements. My arguments: this game is extremely dynamic, huge in proportions and fun to play. its multiplayer roooocks and there are always lots of rts fans online who play it. So I recommend buying it:).

Order of war is a fresh RTS, nothing surprising that Mow released in March has more multiplayer maps so far.

MOW was released with 20 maps and when you add the 27 single player level maps thats 47 maps on release, how manys oow got?

The question is not how many, but how good (detailed, balanced, diverse) the maps are. OOW had 6 mp + 18 sp = 24 maps when it was released. A couple of maps are promised to be added every now and then. It's not the matter of quantity (though it's important too), quality is what really matters for me. OOW is a quality strategy with nice campaigns and cool multiplayer. There're games that have 47+ maps, but does this make them better than MOW or OOW? Poor argument.

Men of War is an insanely realistic WW2 game and has a great damage system. But can be extremely frustrating at times.
