  • Typical retarded huns at 0:00, 0:10, 0:53, 1:11, 1:40, 2:53 everyone don't worry its ok they simply weren't brought up but where dragged up that would explain them wrecking their own country and also wanting to remain british at the same time calling and claiming ulster is British when ulster is a province!

  • look at them clowns at 0:53 attention seekers thats all huns for ya retarded clowns making a fool out of themselves and at the start im sorry to break the news Ulster isn't a country its a province and if it was you wouldn't be ruling it you clowns

  • am irish Protestants and all irish Protestants down south don't give a fuck about the orange marches. the south of ireland and the north of ireland they should join togethers and would be a better football team.

  • Comment removed

  • am irish Protestants most % of irish Protestants down south don't give a fuck about the orange marches.

  • fake country with no national anthem but using a english anthem lol how sad.

  • The only solution would be to have players officially declare for either country at 12 yrs of age or so and fuck em after that. No changes. That way the IFA don't lose money training and nurting talent for years only for the kid to decide he wants to play for the ROI. Northern Ireland will continue to have problems attracting young Catholic players while they remain at Windsor and play G.S.T.Q. Neil Lennon's death threat and international retirement is not forgotten by young catholics.

  • Northern Ireland is NOT a country and never has been,it isn't represented at the UN ,it is a province and really should not have an international team.FIFA should only recognise a 32 county team, then there would be no problems. If The Rugby team can do it why not ?

  • @oceallaigh2003 does this apply to wales and scotland aswel ? Serious question.

  • @magill05 Yes it should as both those countries elected to join the UK and are also part of Great Britain, when Croatia,Bosnia,Serbia etc were part of Yugoslavia they didn't have International status, same for Ukraine,Georgia,Estonia,Latvia,Belarus and all other former Soviet Republics, they only acquired International FIFA status when they became recognised independent countries,What you have with N Ireland,Wales and Scotland is an anomaly.

  • @oceallaigh2003 I was under the impression that the UK is a Sovereign State, while Northern Ireland / Scotland / Wales and England are Constituent Countries... I seriously don't think anyone would agree that England shouldn't have its own football team, as it has currently in both soccer and rugby. Therefore N.Ireland deserves to have its own team.

Having an all-ireland football team would never work as the fans on both sides are cunts. Rugby fans are completely different.

  • @magill05 Yes N.Ireland,Scotland and Wales are constituent parts of the sovereign UK but do you know of any other non-sovereign "countries" that have full FIFA International status? Please enlighten.

  • @oceallaigh2003 there are currently 192 un member states and 205 teams recognized by fifa. taking into account NI scotland and wales that would leave a further 10. they only ones i know are faroe islands, hong kong, british virgin islands and the cayman islands i could find out the rest but it seems likr too much of an effort tbh

  • @oceallaigh2003 how is northern ireland not a country you are a retard..

  • @NORTHERNIRISHULTRAS2 How is the tri colour bigoted? It is actually the only national flag you are represented on, it actually represents peace between the two prominent groups of people in Ireland. So that's bigoted how? Plus everyone in the south cheers on Ulster when they play, (not their own team of course) and they even have a compromise anthem for players from the north. What are you on about?

  • ULSTER HAS 9 COUNTIES, fuckin' get a map, 1 third of it is in the fucking Republic.

    Can't even fuckin' chant properly.

  • lol did you hear that fuckin eejit.since when is donegal part of northern ireland.

  • should play for the country u r born in a all the people but they listen to british songs etc. they r british anyway because if u rnt retarded NI is in the UK.

  • @Crawfordboy17 not at all the Brits have the 6 counties on a 999 year long lease. Won't be long now....

I can't understand why people in norhtern irealnd want to be part of the UK

1 They don't accept NI sterling in the "mainland" UK

2 NI is not eligible for a lot of breakfast cereal competitions

3 The Brits should sell the 6 counties so they can pay off rangers fc debts, just in time before Scotland gains it's independence.

  • @NORTHERNIRISHULTRAS2 TELL THAT TO NEIL LENNON!

  • The good Friday agreement says that anyone born in Northern Ireland can be either Irish or British.. People from the south cannot chose freely.. They cannot apply for a british passport. No problem atall, their choice!

  • @teachill:you can apply for a british passport if any of your parents were born in or b4 1949 and have applied for and got a british passport..!!!!!!!!!!!! because the republic of ireland did not exsist prior to then.it was still the "free state" and because of that was an automatic member of the comnwealth and part of the UK..!!!!!

  • Why wud any lad who class himself as IRISH want to play for northern eire now when they now have the choice that the can play for the republic,,they have to stand for the a national anthem that is not one they class as there own,,they have to play for a very large section of norhern supprters who would treat them as 2nd class ,,im mean look at the way neil lennon was treated.if they choose to play for the south then in no way should the nrth fa stand in there way or bitch about it

  • WHY CANT ROI AND NI JUST JOIN TOGETHER LIKE RUGBY FFS

  • 1:30 Shay Given is from Donegal which is apart of the Republic of Ireland!

  • omg the guy at 1:31 is a complete idiot...he says shay given is from nothern ireland...since when was donegal apart of the north...then he says darren gibson was born is belfast...he was born in derry

  • Dublin gave Northern Ireland Eddie Carson...who was born in Dublin, Ireland did not complain then....:)

  • Given was born in Donegal!!!!!

Since when was Donegal in Northern Ireland?

  • @nigefal It Isn't 6 Out Of The 9 County's In Ulster Are Northern Ireland. And I Live In The Capital Of NI Which I Am A Republican

  • Shay Given ? Really ?

  • realistically the only current N.I player that the republic would put in their squad is Johnny Evans

  • play for NI and be a catholic and u will probably be discrimnated against (pat mc court-bullet in post)

  • I am from Northern Ireland and Im Catholic. If I was a footballer and got a call up for NI I would be delighted. I support NI and the ROI equally.International football is so difficult and we are making it harder for ourselves to get to tournaments by having two separate football teams. If Rugby can do it than why cant soccer.A one island team would cut out all this crap at least.SPORT not RELGION.

  • The guy who begin's speaking at 1.18 should have been drowned in a well by his mother at birth. What an absoluete bellend, shay given was born in the irish republic!!!!

  • why would catholics play for northern ireland if they have to listen god save the fucking queen every time they play

  • James McClean is playing well these days

  • God some of the northerners are so backward.

  • 2;04 gob shite ian paisleys twin

  • The Nordies don't want a 32 county team it because they might actually have nobody playing for them (joke) and guess what they might actually get the idea that they live on the island of Ireland, no shit sherlock, isn't it typical that nobody south of the border has a problem of a united Ireland but again the indoctrianted Nordies are against it, well my advice is stop fuckin supporting my team Liverpool (I was born there) but hey I don't have a problem when you coming over and supporting us!!!

  • @DavidWMartin88 Absolutely, NI didn't exist before 1921, it was a labotomy country created by small minded Individuals (Carson and Craigavon) in cahoots with Churchill, Greenwood and their ilk to protect British and Unionist interests, the ammount of arguments i have as a Liverpudlian born from Irish descent are legion- Nordies don't get it when I explain to them that they are hanging onto a failed experiment that was created from plantation and NI a country, it's a province

  • Yes completely right Menla1 and Darron Gibson was born and bred in Derry!!!

  • 2:27, wtf is that prick wearing the vatican flag for, sad man. keep it the fuck out of football

  • Northern Ireland a protestant state for a protestant people. You made your bed and all the rest are welcome in Dublin. Playing for your country Northern Ireland isn't a country therefore to play for Northern Ireland isn't playing for your country just playing for a region.

  • Who is that fuckin idiot?? All of them unionists are the same, easily knowing they're the spawn of scots planters - if you had shite in your pocket they'd want half of it. What right-minded Nationalist Catholic, regardless of Michael O'Neill as boss, wants to play for that neo-nazi set-up?

  • Love the idiot at the start, They are playing for their country, Ireland is their country, and maybe if NI wants more Catholics to stay and play they should get rid of all the racist fans, also Marc Wilson who is from the north and plays for the Republic is Protestant

  • 1:20 Given was born in Lifford, Co Donegal, Darren Gibson was born in Derry not Belfast. useless cunt

  • whats he on about shay given is born in donegal what a idiot ...

  • n ireland are fukin shite

  • While trying to make an argument for them not being sectarian it clearly shows them with a UVF Flag. Great move lads!

  • @EFCMcCarthyCFC It's an orange order flag, idiot.

  • @HunTxJay Used by the UVF. Away on, Orange Order are bigots too.

  • @EFCMcCarthyCFC Go look at a UVF flag and come back to me.

  • @HunTxJay

I did, googled it and that won came up. I'm back.

  • @EFCMcCarthyCFC The only similarities between the flags is the St. Georges cross on the top left corner, are you blind ? :S

  • @EFCMcCarthyCFC

    Are you colour blind Murphy?

UVF standard is purple with orange star, Orange Order standard is orange with purple star........please take a closer look and if you still can't see it then you really best hurry along to your nearest optician, doctor or maybe even your priest!

Vatican flag wrapped round non sectarian 'friendly southern' oirish fan at 2.27 I noticed hohum

    Eire hypocrites alert again!

  • @essexnto

Class, bring religion into it. I admit I thought wrong but oh well, I couldn't give a fuck. That is all you are good for, slegging Catholics and professing how loyal you are to a country that doesn't want anything to do with you. Why would catholic people want to play for you? Sure you're the Billy Boys. Fud.

  • the republic national team is pretty much a mongrel team it wont be long before theres no actual players born in the republic playing in it

personally i dont care what side you want to play for i just think they should be made to choose earlier instead of flip flopping, o and btw Northern Ireland is a country, which last time i checked was fairing alot better than your so called celtic lion economy in fact the euro in genral if ur gona try and b smart about not all catholics are irish you pleb

  • @wilson7491 Firstly Rep. Ireland has 7 players out of 22 not born in Ireland, N. Ireland has 6 out of 21 not born in Northern Ireland, so if that's your opinion do you believe N. Ireland to be a mongrel team too?! Secondly Northern Ireland is not a real country, and you know it isn't, your 'country' is the United Kingdom; head of state the queen of England. Read a book you clown

  • gys an idiot...shay given was born in the republic. why would a real irishman, who sees the north as a false country in the first place, want to represent it in sport? if your catholic your irish, and if your a prod your a brit. all the great catholic players that have played for the north ahve all gotten abuse; martin oniell, niell lennon ect...why play for a team whose own fans are not going to get behind you?

  • "any citizern of Northern Ireland be given the right to call themselves British or Irish, whichever they so choose", terms of the GFA.

  • @DavidWMartin88 ...yes, but when will all the fucking Irish parasites leave Scotland? We have hundreds of thousands of the unwanted fucker here....take them back and we will pay shipping costs.

  • @Scotslover86 What about all the Scots who fucked off to America because Scotland was a shit hole, second largest group of immigrants in America at one stage. Do you want them back?

  • I don't blame any player born in the north to play for the republic as they are Irish. Maybe so it mostly catholics changing over but really who want to play for the north and having to sing that disgusting athem before each game. Ye northern boys should be ashamed ye aint got your own athem like wales and da scots

  • your man talking about shay given is a dope donegal in ireland not NI typical orange cunt

  • its not even a province

  • shay given is from donegal u fukin hun

  • @mrross419,There are 9 counties in Ulster,Donegal,Cavan and Monaghan being 3 of them are part of the Republic of Ireland, the other 6 are in the occupied part of the north of Ireland

  • NI isn't a country, it's a province.

  • @LOGOS422 it's not even a full province, it should be called 'north east ireland'

oh well lets face it football is our third sport after the GAA and Rugby

  • given a proud ulsterman from donegal.

  • Shay Given? ahahahahahaahahaha "Adam Barton he's English, played for us now he plays for the Republic", so he was ok when he declared for your lot but now hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Thierry Henry? lolol oh no's that cut deep, Euro 2012, 5 nil, a fire hazard stadium, your treatment of Neil Lennon, letter bombs to McGinn and co,Gibson, McClean, Wilson would all walk into your shit team but chose to be bit part players for us lolol Wise the fuck up, retards. Fucking Neanderthals!!! Shay Given lol

  • What happens when a player just wnt's to play in the world cup. They've got Trappatoni ffs.

  • If your Ulster till ya die, that means you are one third Irish (as one third of it is in the republic) so you are eligible to play for The Republic. Well done.

    Morons.

  • HENRY <3

  • no man in his right head would play for that shitty team...enjoy watching us at the euros!!!!

  • given is from donegal u stupid cunt

  • 0:05 Personally i think you're scum

  • If you're born on the island of Ireland, you can play for either of the two teams. Drawing an artificial line on map doesn't change one's nationality or blood line.

  • A good start for the North would be binning GSTQ and coming up with their own anthem (they're welcome to have Ireland's Call !!!) - that might help stop the flow of Catholics declaring for the Republic.

  • How the fuck can the north be complaining , when when ever a catholic plays for the northern ireland team they get death threats from your scumbags of parmilitarys!

  • Just face it, the Island of Ireland should be a 32 county Republic. How could you have pride in waving a union jack on this land which thousands upon thousands of people died for it to be free? god save the queen as the national anthem? Makes me fucking sick. You are a disgrace to your ancestors before the plantations of ulster and the IRA men who died for you, yet you let the british media convince that the IRA are evil, yet never hear a story about the UDA/UDF killing republicans.

  • lol that idiot who thinks that Shay Given was born in NI :P And then he goes on to say "Adam Barton, he's English, plays for us in a friendly, and he's now playing for the republic..." Well if you don't mind taking in players from England, then why complain when NI born players decide to play for ROI ? ?

  • UP IRELAND FUCK NORTHERN IRELAND

  • It's sad that I am from N.I and are catholic but is judged to think that im a unionist :( Sad face to all Irish people in N.I

  • Northern Ireland fans are fucking delusional if they think catholics born in N.I would ever declare for them given the treatment they recieve. Read Neil Lennons book and it will open alot of eyes. Fair play to McGinn and McCourt for sticking to their heart and declaring for N.I but with bullets in the post i cant see them hanging around too long, N.I are pushing away their greatest players because of religion and thats why they will never play in a major tournament ever again.

  • Oh let it go man. no one cares bout you guys, just fade away.

  • @Flamorgan Like what happened with the british we will overcome, probably lose something, but still be irish! proud!

  • @Flamorgan I pay those taxes nob head! i pay them in my pay check. Eire! its Ireland dipshit.we'll be back! don't get so happy just cus irelands going through some shit at the moment. smug bastards like you will get there's.

  • @Flamorgan O fuck off with that shit. play for whatever ireland u want. don't be political, thats why the whole of ireland was and still is divided. well that and english had a say.

  • Comment removed

  • Shey given was born in the Republic of Ireland, Donegal, Letterkenny. I would know this as he is my cousin. Darren Gibbson, Born and raised in Derry....Who is that stupid N.I fan anyone???

  • you represt us took our land naild my grand unkel to a door threw a grenade at my nana treid to kill your fellow irishmen just cuse we were catholic

  • why would you want to play for the north if you are being ronged just cuse you are catholic If the prods want cathlics to play for them stop percacuting us.

  • sick people swithcin nationalities like

  • sorry who is this fucking idiot? Shay Given is from Lifford in Donegal.

    fucking moron.

  • @Menla1 i was just about to type that to man haha football fans these days

  • @1916TheMan aye theyre pretty fucking stupid

  • Just have it like the Rugby simple as that One Country One Team get with it people who gives a rats ass about religion and all that BS We all have Green jerseys

  • @beroconnell i agree man

  • this isn't a difficult issue. The players can play for either Ireland or N ireland because of ISC ruling. N ireland wanted their own soccer team, they got it with the stipulation that the people born could play for either north or republic as the ISC wanted a WHOLE COUNTRY team like in rugby.

This wasn't accepted, the rules came in this way, it is your own doing.

  • The reason they play for the republic is because "northern ireland" is just the north-eastern part of Ireland. Their is no such coutry as "Northern Ireland"

    26+6=1

  • Shay Given was born in Lifford, Co. Donegal, not Northern Ireland.

  • because they know 32 county ireland is comeing

    eire go bragh

  • what a complete and utter en-educated clown who is on tv stating shay given has had a great career , but hes from norther ireland .............

i thought he was taking the piss...........dosent he know shay given was born in lifford in the republic ......and also shay is from ulster which is a province in ireland/northern ireland....

  • 1:15 Shay Given was born in Donegal, which is part of the Republic.

I think that fact that Northern Ireland is British and you might be opposed that you would rather play for the real Ireland. It's easy to understand the Northern Ireland fans frustration, I think the Scots feel too with Aidan McGeady and the likes. Northern Ireland musn't forget our frustration with foreign rule in our country for 800 years now. It's a small island with a long history, why break it up and cause these arguments

  • @pricefixingmaster... where did I say Donegal was in the north of Ireland???

  • If they dont want to play for Northern Ireland why should they? why is it a disgrace?

  • Shay Given was born in Lifford, Co. Donegal, which is south of the border. Strabane is only a stone throw away over the bridge, which is in the North.

All citizens like myself born in the North should be entitled to play and support the Republic of Ireland. Afterall, I own an Irish passport which declares me an Irish citizen.

If North of Ireland supporters weren't as bitter and twisted towards some of its players and sported a more suitable national anthem, maybe the players would stay.

  • @thewrecker42 Donegal is not apart of Northern Ireland

  • This is a no brainer. The republic have qualified for 3 world cups and 2 euros over the last 26 years, while N Ireland have laid eggs. Guess which team the players will choose?

  • So as a natural born swede I should be able to play for Finland ?

  • @gersman1962 its a lot more different than that

  • shay given is from donegal...which is republic not northern l

  • @DontBeCheeky69 2 packages for mc ginn and lennon were intercepted at mallusk ( near belfast )royal mail sorting office by staff. They were addressed to 95 keerydale street , Glasgow, they were sent from the ballymoney area, im not blaming all NI fans, but lets get real, until NI sorts out its own house they wont be playing for NI anytime soon.

  • hfdhg kkh

  • ya karezza 1 That would be nice . we could do with a few handy games like that.

  • @karezza1

Ya that would be a great draw for us we could with a nice handy draw like that..

  • @stevenbfg Im a NI fan and I don't like the orange order but then the poor old Irish nationalists arent angels either.

  • Bigoted ROI this is why I don't want them too do well in the Euros , taking Our players if they allowed ROI players too play for us then it's more fair but they don't they just take from us and don't give anything back. The NI retard fan club made a right mess in Dublin so did that clown team wortington picked a bunch of school kids , stop taking are players and let us put out a proper team is that too much for you people ? Also the NI fans who sing stupid loyalist songs don't come back to wins

  • They have a right to play for who they want to. Why would you want someone to play for you who doesn't want to play for you?

  • Given was born in Donegal you fucking moron

  • i think its great for all irish supporters north and south that ireland is going to the euro's we have players from both sides and supporters from both and as an island as a whole is going to be mad. love ireland north and south............

  • Shay Given was born in Co.Donegal which is part of the Republic. This dude is talking verbal shite.

  • one ireland team, but then maybe only one or two players max would start or even just get on the bench for ireland, oh well if your not good, your not good.

  • Shay Given was born in Lifford, Donegal. ''We welcome anybody who wants to play for Northern Ireland'' haha how come youse sent Neill Lennon death threats then all because he played for Celtic. Load of shit. Up the Republic!

  • To be fair, the ROI have a track record of using the Granny Rule already so using an International treaty to get players isn't exactly beneath them. But I would point out the following: The use of "God Save Our Queen" as an anthem is not indicative of a national identity when "Londonderry Air" is there for use. However, I also would point out my problems with using the resources and time of an organisation and then getting lost. Choose early on for whom you wish to play for and stick with them.

  • @jasonofaolain no such song as londonderrys Air. its called derrys Air!!!!!!!!

  • You had a Great Player In Neil Lennon, We all No what ye did.

    So fuck off.....

    Euros 2012... Enough Said!

  • Shays from donegal you Dump Nordy Bastard, Go buy a Map!

  • @caelanomeara1996

exactly, couldn't believe the stupid fuck when he mentioned Shay!!

  • @shero1987 Yeah Shay is from Ulster but he's not from Northern Ireland

  • given is from the south hes born in DONEGAL!! stupid prodies

  • @caelanomeara1996 donegal is the most northern county in Ireland and you say donegal is in the south? im afraid you are in no position to call anyone stupid.

  • Honestly who the fuck brings a orange order flag to a football match 2:53 and they wonder why catholics dont want to play for them and as for shay given he was born in DONEGAL retard not northern ireland. Are all northerners this retarded?

  • SIMPLE 32

  • im from northern ireland, belfast, if i had the chance i would play for the republic of ireland , catholics arnt very welcome at windsor park as every1 will already know, who ever says they r , are full of fuking shite lets be honest

  • At 1:26 wats that scum on about Shay Given was born in Donegal which is part of The Republic Of Ireland Donegal is the 34th county of The Republic not Northern

  • @JohnAdams198805 same actually

  • Look at the flags not very catholic freindly is it. yet they complain that they dont play for ni. + ni are terrible. Euro 2012 :D

  • NI what a fucken shit team. who would want to play for those faggots. fuck them.

Rep of Ireland- going to Euro 2012 =) Eire and Russija all the way

    CCCC

  • Mexico 86 is a long time ago isn't it.

  • Comment removed

  • Northern Ireland isn't a real country, I'd never, ever play for the North because of everything it stands for, I have an Irish passport. I'm Irish not Northern Irish

  • brilliant. some spastics out here. darron gibson born in belfast? shay given born in the occupied 6? maybe if northern ireland football team got there own identity instead of using englands national anthem it would help matters. or perhaps stop sending people bombs in the post because there catholics and play for an irish club in scotland? the end of the day for all use northern ireland fans out there, the good friday agreement states you can choose your nationality.end of

  • @BelfastRangers2011 do u not think the treatment of neil lennon might have more to do with it.. if i was a catholic footballer and born in belfast i would never play for n. ireland after that .. i mean think about it who would. i think n ireland officials complaining (I UNDERSTAND THEIR FRUSTRATION) might do better to look in their own backyard

  • That one bloke moaning about the FAI targeting the Catholic players to play for the Republic hahaha, fuck all the religion bit, I wonder if the Northern Irish bloke realises that the North are fuckin shite at football, thats why no one wants to play for them! Lennon played for them, and all they did was make his international career hell!

  • @BelfastRangers2011 No its not being bigotted. If they consider themselves Irish as they were born on this island then so be it. They have every right to choose their own nationality and many have Irish passports. I agree its kinda unfair using NI resources but thats what happens when you have a divided country, it'll always happen in those situations. I think they just take the opportunity at NI and have other plans to leave if they can.

  • @BelfastRangers2011 If the players recognise themselves as Irish, how is it player poaching? They want to play for us and jump at the chance!!

  • love the way some of these lads think that the northern born nationalists are their personnal property. Bitch and moan all you want, when ireland goes to the euros next year more players will declare for us to try and get the chance to play at a major international tournament. enjoy supporting england next year ye filthy biggots

  • 1:14 The commentator is WRONG to say Shay Given was born in the North. He was born in Lifford in Co. Donegal.

Should be an all-Ireland team anyway but there are too many uneducated, narrow-minded proles in Northern Ireland for that to happen.

  • @bacabu30

100% rite, try living beside them

  • shay given is from Donegal which is in the republic, that silly man

  • @123odonovan i love to give him a slap

  • I'm a Northern Ireland fan, We qualified for 2 World Cups in the 80's, 82 and 86, In 82 we beat Spain the host nation. Republic didn't have a decent side until the late 80's early 90's. It's up to the individual really, i'd rather have 11 players going out playing for the shirt, it's better than 8 trying and 3 players who would rather be somewhere else.

  • Shay Given, born in lifford, you spastic. Darren Gibson, Born in Derry!!! get the facts right before you make a fool of yourself of t.v

  • jesus, these guys are some of the most ignorant people i've ever seen, they dont get why guys want to play for the south, they dont understand how they qualify to play for the south, and throw out the same red herrings time after time. oh, and shay given was not born in the north, and gibsons from derry, so that guys and idiot. also, how can they claim its wrong for ireland to play northern born players, how can they justify playing english born lads, or guys like johnny gorman who played roi.

  • @CianDub estonia, cum on

  • @bcfisle39 Spain 82 is a long time ago now isn't it.

  • Was Shay not born in Lifford??? I gotta say if you did come up through the youth system then I reckon you play for the team that nurtured you (then again you might just get non-stop abuse...)

  • what country are you from Northern Ireland what team do u support Republic of Ireland makes alot sense dosnt it
