I don't mean she's stupid but she's too beautiful to say such complicated things. I saw her on an Enron documentary and had the same reaction. She's like a cross between Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds) and the brunette from the show Friends, but even better than both. And her sweet voice just makes me melt.

I think Bethany is a smart, saavy ,well informed financial journalist and I'm still wondering why she asked all of the right questions from a educated, factual perspective - which were never answered by those corporate "executive swindler liars" or validated by her financial peers or market analysts. Evidently, It seems to be a conspiracy with the "major banks", "stock traders", and "government regulators". I still want to know - why does the SEC exist?

But she personally played a serious serious role in the aforementioned article. DO NOT TRUST THIS LADY. If you do not believe me do some serious research and you will understand.

Do some research on Fairfax....its well documented so no speculation in this...her and her hedge fund buddies tried to pull a stunt by deliberately attempting to sink a viable company through the use of naked short sales and SHOTTY journalism.....just do some research on FAIRFAX and you will understand.....and the question you just proposed of how a journalist could be involved in a hedge fund is either you being sarcastic or completely out of touch...NO OFFENSE

Did you get this info from deepcapture? If so, then I'd advise you not to trust anything that site has to say. It's a mouthpiece for Patrick Byrne, the CEO of Overstock, who has a personal vendetta against McLean and others notable journalists b/c they wrote some negative things about him. These rumors are just part of a smear campaign against his critics.

At what point in a business writer's career should one start writing articles based on information given to you from Hedge Funds so as to gain financially from their dismise? I've been reading your emails to/from Marc Cohodes of Copper River Management from the unsealed court documents for the Fairfax lawsuit against said Hedge Fund. Great read!
