@dannyboyinspace I wouldn't say he's as skilled as Silva of GSP, the dudes really young (21 or so?). He just has a freakishly long reach. Any with arms that long has such a greater advantage over their opponents its ridiculous. Which is why Shogun couldn't get passed him.

@dannyboyinspace Yea because he has insanely long arms and therefore more leverage, that's why Silva couldn't stop his takedowns. It's all physics man. The dude has skill, I don't doubt it, but more than Silva? No way. If he didn't have his reach, he'd be an average fighter at best. I watched a bunch of his fights and he seems sloppy, just goes in head first, keeps his arms down. Its cause he has that reach he can keep people at bay and slowly pick away at them, which I don't consider skill.

@dannyboyinspace nope. I'm just saying that Silva has more skill regardless of his reach whereas Jones has almost an unfair advantage because of it and no one can even get in close with him. If he was the same height and reach as Silva, Silva would dominate him. Like I said the man definitely has skill, but he's just so young and rambunctious at times, because he has more distance.

Remember reach isn't always enough Sturve has a massive reach and has been KO'd numerous times. Also Jones has something Silva doesn't elite wrestling therefore, even if Silva had the same reach Jones would still take him down at will I mean he outwrestled Hammil and Bader both great wrestler with no difficulty at all.

GSP has never stood a chance vs Anderson, I've never understood the hype. It mostly comes down to Silva's size. Walking around at 230, like a lot of good MMA HEAVYWEIGHTS have, and keeping his athleticism, at whatever weight he decides to compete at, he will dwarf GSP on the night.

If their frames were scaled down, it would be a close fight. But Silva is 6'2" and has thoroughly tested himself at 185lbs (arguably his best fighting weight), while these will be new, unfamiliar waters for Georges.
