@98d499353 I dont think this is true, firstly cause the writers didnt even try to hook those together,it was Karen and Thorne almost since the beggining and all the Ridge connections were just to complicate things abit and attract old viewers. Also keep in mind Karens acting approach was totally different then Carolines.Completly different character.Fans waited Caroline to come back with Karen, but Karen's characteristics were different to a certain extend.

@kent504 Taylor was intially brought on for a 3 month contract as Caroline's doctor. But because RM and HT had undenialable chemistry, Taylor replaced Caroline as the "good" girl. Caroline was only let go cuz jonna johnson wanted to leave. When she came back later on karen, audience prefer HT and KKL fighting over RM.
