God, it mattered to me so much back then but if the same things happened to me now, I doubt I would care. That's why bullying in middle school is the worst. america should really do what england does and split the school system a bit. what i mean is secondry school (high school) only lasts unti your 16 and you have the option to go to college after ( a two or so year thing not the same as american college) so then only mature people who want to be there go therefore almost completely stopping bullying after 16. also they should lower the sex age to 16 like in england and so less people would care if you have sex and there would be maturity about it.

Bullying makes you GROW UP, I'm glad that I've been bullied in the past because it has forged me into the more selfconscious and determined person I'm today. Had I not been bullied, perhaps I wouldn't have experienced the "negative" things, but it would've influenced my future more negatively than positively in terms of reaching what I want.

Offcourse some people can crack or get off worse getting bullied, in the end it depends on your nature aswell. (I'm a proud and honorfull person myself)

I was bullied in 6th grade a lot. That was my bad year. There was this girl who i wasn't really "friends" with, but she wasn't mean to mean. But then I became friends with her friend. Then at lunch that day the girl i sat with told me that the girl hated my guts. Then she threatened to beat me up. It became this big thing where i had to go to the counselor and my teacher moved her to another class so she would leave me alone because she just kept verbally abusing me.

I've never been bullied but I once came close, but then my older brother gave me advice. It may seem a bit odd but he told me to just say: "Good for me" and just act like it doesn't bother me and after some time of either ignoring them or saying good for me it finally stopped!

If someone lays their hands on you fight back. Give back a tad bit more than what you get; in my experience it's the only way they respect you. For instance, if someone punches you once, punch them back (once, so you won't look like YOU won't get in trouble) but in a place it would hurt - like their face. It's something that I've had to do, and it worked.
