Everybody is SOOOO well casted... besides Mos Def. He just doesn't play Ford well. I mean, he's more the way he is in this movie around the third book, not as much in the first one. He was just so much more... disconnected.

Don't ge me wrong, the screenplay is brilliant, as is the rest of the movie... but Ford... he just... urks me.

Ford prefect was brilliant in this move.

I still don't understand why people hate on it as much as they do. I've read the books, and watched the TV series. It mightn't be exactly the same but it's NOT a bad movie! and anyways, Douglas Adams was involved in the making of this movie before he passed and i'm sure he wouldn't write a screenplay he thought was "pathetic", as some have described it. It's actually one of my favourite movies.
