@rvbsmcaboose Indeed, this little animation does pull at one's heartstrings, but also seems so hopeful. Amidst the dark atmosphere and empty shells is a hopeful girl who only want to make others smile. But you know what's really sad; this 24 minute animation composed by one person can place more heart in a story than a multimillion production team can in a 2 hour feature.

I've originally seen this amazing animation on Newgrounds and it recieved 3 awards dring the time it was first released.

This is the most beautiful and amazing thing I've ever seen.

Never have I been so touched and depressed after watching, reading or playing a work of fiction before. MGS1, 2, 3, 4 for example. All had their sad moments.

But none of them ever actually made me shed a real tear. This masterpiece here did.

The soundtrack is some of the most depressing and beautiful music I've ever heard too.

So thanks Lee, for letting me and many others know about this work of art.

Animation is interesting.. reminds me of a mix of anime and the animation style from the Beatles' cartoon Yellow Submarine.

i liked this animation and really helped break the trend of frontpaged animations on newgrounds which consist almost entirly of video game parodies and short comedies. there are a few gripes i have with this short but i am going to over look them as the sheer scope of the film overshadows them and any one who wants to enjoy this flash to its fullest shoud watch it on newgrounds.
