The dorkly videos are usually simple games from the 1990s or earlier, so even people who haven't played video games since they were kids will still get the references. There are exceptions like Angry Birds, but only because it's popular among non-gamers. Fire Emblem is complex, so references to it would fly over people's heads like Vanessa on her winged horse :D
