I've had training in modeling through my talent group, and it is hard work, but those that organize the fashion shows and photo-shoots typically hire models that LOOK RIGHT for the clothing.

I mean did you see the men in the visual kei section? WTF?! They should be doing the boring fashion shows for Hollister and Abercrombie!! >_<

(And has anyone else noticed that in almost every show the models that don't normally wear Lolita wear their skirts longer in the front than in the back? O_o)

i think its better when professionals do it. But most of the models don't fit in the lolita concept, and then it looks very untrue...

They don't ALWAYS do it just for the money.. Misako Aoki for example, doesn't. She's a real Lolita. : ) But I agree that anyone who isn't a real Lolita shouldn't be a Lolita model.. it takes a sort of passion to wear the clothes.. it's not a bad thing to not be a Lolita of course, but for real Lolitas it's a part of who we are.. it's pretty insulting to see someone basically mock that. It's like calling it a costume.. if you understand what I'm saying.. lol

Lolita skirts are supposed to be approximately at the knee and the outfits just look sorta skimpy to me. Lolita is a modest fashion. Some of them were cute though.
