  • you need to bring that to Sydney

  • @rb26capri Tell me about it, the Meremere rollercoaster is not easy to get down when your trying to get some decent boost into it from 1/2 track, at present we leave with around 17psi, have a little burst up to 30ish then pull boost back out again just to make it down with minimal wheelspin. Reece from HT assures me it'd be easy 6s in Aussie so I'd love to come sometime, just need a sponser!!!

  • hey its me again lol....can't stop being impressed by you and your shops work.....does the chassis flex down the track have any effect on your times and applying the power down? It seems like the chassis gets a tiny bit of bounce or flex half way down the track....I'm no professional, just very curious

  • @Element7744 There is no suspension so the chassis is designed to flex but our tracks are very bumpy and undulating so the car does tend to bounce more than it would on a good track, its all part of the fun of trying to get down there quickly and in 1 piece, lol.

  • @RIPSNZ lol sounds fun....looks a bit scary, but I would imagine the thrill is more rewarding lol....thumbs up like always!

  • nice run when are u gonna beat hks all out rb record?(tube frame 180sx 1200hp rb28 7.1x @19x mph) it should be easier in a fed compared to the heavier tube frame care (i think)

  • @somerandomaussie We are gunning for their record as soon as our season starts up again. The FED is actually 955kg so pretty sure it would be heavier than the 180sx and the FED probably 60fts no quicker than the 180 either, also we have very little grip from 1/2 track hence our very low mph (181).

We are looking forward to having a go at it towards the end of the year, cheers.

  • how high is this engine reving, it doesn't even sound like a straight 6 under high revs

  • @AkeemWalters we are not pushing the motor hard at all in this car, we just can't get the grip and we're only pulling about 8000-8500 max at the moment.

When this same motor was in the 240z we'd rev it to 10,000, check my vids and watch the 240z world record run and other 240z runs, you'll hear the motor screaming in those vids.

  • why doesnt the strip look flat o_O.

  • @LOLHICRONO because it isn't!! lol. its very bumpy and undulating and the finish line is actually higher than the start line.

  • I heard you were using metal Jacket is that correct?

  • @msincome7 we use a ROSS metal jacket harmonic balancer if thats what you mean?

  • lol thats funny at 0:56. the FED has an RB and the skyline has a V8

  • @MaxiTheTaxi Yeah we tend to do things a little different here in NZ, lol.

There were some horrified "old school" boys when I turned up with a nissan 6 in the FED but they have come around to it now, as for the V8 skyline, personally I think he should have stuck with a RB30, but it does sound nice with the V8.

  • it is a nissan v8 though so atleast hes kept it nissan

  • @RIPSNZ v8 in a skyline is Blasphemy i say!

  • get em Robbie......
