@darthbrick11 Sorry to burst your bubble, but the downward chop doesn't do that much damage. 685 damage would be enough to one hit kill many of the early bosses. Take a look at Lord Grahfs damage formula on GameFAQs. The downward chop doesn't do 100% damage, and there are a lot of other factors that come into place.

I guess waterblight sucks, but I got a question... how does THUNDERblight work? When fighting Lagia I had it on the whole time I fought him and I still got no clue what it did...

I have a terrible time with R.Ludroth. I need to farm him for weps, but it just takes me forever to kill him. I suck with the hammer, but I guess I'm gonna have to get better since it's the only wep with a fire element available to me now. See if adding the fire element helps.

@SocialDissonance I just did him with the peco flint... Took about 10 minutes. Fastest time ever for me. I even took out a Great Jaggi with it in about 6 minutes on the way back to the village for good measure. Still need one more R. Ludroth Claw, so I gotta do this quest again. :-D I'll have to learn how to use the lance first. Just starting to get the hang of the hammer.

@girochin007 Oops... I meant "plume flint" before anyone jumps me about it. ;-) Too early for the peco flint. After watching the barroth vids again I farmed up enough parts to get the ludroth splashhammer in preparation for barroth.

@girochin007 If you have trouble, use a switch axe, spam the "guillotine chop" where the hunter lifts the axe over his/her head, and chops forcibly downward, it converts the entire amount of attack into damage, meaning at that point in the game you can do 685 damage per hit with the bone axe+.

i got lucky doing all quests, except getting lagiacrus plate. It's droprate is just...so minute. I want to get the full lagi set b4 i start my ceadeus quest, no luck yet tho. Got any tips on increased drop rates?

@TheBodykick Head, Tail, Shinies, and capture. If you do all of those, preferably with capture expert from Baggi armor, you should get it very quickly.

hehe, your fighting an elite monster :)

Any monster that is larger then normal is considered a buffed, or elite monster. It means they're much more powerfull(attack wise). I think they also have a health boost, but I'm not too sure. I just know that fighting them usually takes a tad bit longer then normal for me.

@wiigenius Sending fishing fleet to moga shallows and give them fish finders. You can also trade machalite ore for scatterfish online sometimes (I think it is 2 ores/2 fish).

Y'know what'd be a neat idea for Hammers? Having them, like... I dunno, snap instead of losing sharpness, and you instead fix them with... I dunno, tape or something... Would make more sense, I guess.
