One more thing. God says in numerous places in the Bible that He is One, that He is by Himself, He shares His glory with no one and that He is the first and the last. Yet Christians say they are three Gods. Why? They say Jesus was (or is) God. I don't know about you, but I find it disgusting, disturbing, and just plain wrong to believe in a God who shits and pisses. You believe in a God who shits and pisses??? God is too holy and righteous to sit on a toilet. Your God sits on a toilet? Really?
It comes down to this. Christians say the Law is a curse and it's evil and only gives death, etc. But God says in Psalms chapter 119 (the longest chapter in the Bible) the whole chapter is about how the Torah/ the Law is sweeter than honey, more valuable than gold or silver and that it gives light and life!! Why do Christians take the word of God and lie about it? The Law isn't a curse- God said it isn't. So why do Christians lie and say it is? The Law teaches us how to treat others and God.
To Christians, God doesn't care about our actions. As long as you believe that a paraniod schizaphrentic named Jesus died on a cross 2000 years ago God accepts you and you go to heaven. This means you can shit on your fellow man but you're still going to heaven because you, once again, believe in that crazy man. Why do I say Jesus was a nut? Because he said he was God. God is God. God is not a man who shits and pisses. You believe in a God who shits and pisses? GOD DOESN'T SHIT OR PISS!!
Christians like to say the Jewish God is a God of wrath and destruction and the Christian God is one of love. That is just a bald faced lie. The Jewish God blesses people who act decently toward others. The Christian God, on the other hand, is waiting, actually chomping at the bit, to send people to hell no matter how good they are toward their fellow man. The Christian God is one of hate. To send someone no matter how much good they do to hell because they don't believe in that nut Jesus isevl
@ThaLinguist What are you talking about? Hey guys im talking to a youtuber on a video called "do Old testament prophecies"
You then know I am talking about you, because your a youtube who I am talking to on said video name. Jesus is referred to as "he" just I can refer to you as guy, or he, or her, or any other pronoun. Hope this helps
@Modehrn There is no prophecy that says "He will be sold for 30 pieces of silver." Read the Old Testament yourself, it never says that the Messiah will be sold for 30 pieces of silver. Matthew 27:9-10 wrongly attributes a prophecy to Jeremiah (which is really a non-prophecy Zech. 11:12-13) and changes the words completely, twisting it to say what he wants it to say. The Hebrew word "treasury" is even changed to the Greek "potter." This is a clear example of out-of-context and fabrication.

Please show me text of Hebrew bible where God promises that He will violate His commandments/principles and tell a lie? Not possible to do this, is it?
There is not any proof of Jesus in the Hebrew bible at all, and you know it. And if you want proof of some hidden connection, then pronounce the letters of the name Eisau in Hebrew with a different vowel and you will get "Jesus." Spelled Ayin, Sin, Vav. Yissoo is the Aramaic for Jesus, where the greek writers got his name from. Eisav hates Yaakov (Israel), and God hates Eisav. That finishes your argument for Jesus in the Tanakh.
@72Yonatan=Wrong, the Bible Code from from the Hebrew Scriptures such as Micah 5:2, Numbers 24:17, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, Psalm 22, Isaiah 53, Daniel 9:24-27, Zechariah 9:9, Jeremiah 23:5-6, and Genesis 49:10 reveals the Messiah's name is Yeshua (JESUS). The Bible Code is authentic, Rabbi Yitzhak Kadurin confirmed that Yeshua (JESUS) is the Messiah, the Messiah appeared to him in a vision and his vision is from God as foretold in Joel 2:28 (KJV). You're no better than the Bible scholars.
There is not any Hebrew prophecy that a messiah will be born in Bethlehem. Sorry to disappoint you. Jesus is not mentioned at all in the Hebrew bible; this is just wishful thinking on the part of Christians.
@72Yonatan TRUE THE WHOLE NEW TESTAMENT IS FALSE. THE OT SPEAKS OF THE GOD OF THE HEBREWS AND THE NT SPEAKS OF A god FOR THE JEWS (WHICH ARE CLEARLY NOT THE DESCNDANTS OF THE HEBREWS) SO THEY CAN FEEL LIKE THEY WILL BE SAVED TOO. YAH HAS ONLY ONE FAMILY AND THAT'S ISRAEL AMOS 3:2
@iam7who7iam7=You're sincerely dead wrong and that proves your blindness, the Brit Chadasha (New Testament) is definitely and absolutely not false at all, it's 100% accurate. God promised a new covenant for the house of Israel and the house of Judah through the prophet Jeremiah (see Jeremiah 31:31-34).
@knightsofstjoan2004 You don't even understand the deception that this white man has put over world. Jesus never existed as a man... Jesus is none other than the Sun in the sky. the 12 desciples are the 12 Zodiac signs. and the people of the bible are black people.
@iam7who7iam7=That is where you are mistaken Genesis 49:10, Jeremiah 23:5-6, Numbers 24:17, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, Psalm 22, Isaiah 53, and Daniel 9:24-27 are messianic prophecies and they all point to Yeshua (JESUS). Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri confirmed that Yeshua is the Messiah, the Messiah appeared to him in a vision and his vision is from Gos as foretold in Joel 2:28 (KJV). Yeshua does exist, He is God manifested in the flesh and is alive today.
@knightsofstjoan2004 Check out Isaiah 43:11 NO SAVIOUR BESIDE ME. So how can this Jesus be a saviour. Total contradiction. Isaiah 53... read verse 10 Jesus had no children and died a young man. WAKE UP. Numbers 24:17 who did Jesus KILL??? Nobody! The rest of those verses are jiberish not even concerning the person who you call Jesus. Also why would God not mention his name??? Why leave clues or hints? God said he has only one son Exodus 4:22 Hosea 11:1 and that is all of israel... black people
@iam7who7iam7=You know what you're blind, the name of Jesus in Hebrew is Yeshua which means "salvation"or "YHWH saves", Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) says that a child to be born is to be son and the Everlasting Father at the same time, and why is He called the Mighty God? Only God is Almighty, therefore He has to be God Himself, therefore God incarnated and manifested Himself in the flesh, and is given the name Yeshua because He will save people from their sins.
@knightsofstjoan2004 Isaiah 9:6 is refering to one of Isaiahs sons. Hezekiah read 11 Chronicles 32... it explains why Hezekiah was called the wonderful counselor and price of peace. ust read down at verse 32 it says a foreseen in the visions of Isaiah. Jesus or Yahshua is clearly not the prince of peace. He even says so in Matthew 10:34 lol total contradiction of Malachi 4:5-6
@iam7who7iam7=That is where you're mistaken, saying that Isaiah 9:6 is referring King Hezekiah makes no sense at all, the reason why the rabbis reinterpreted this verse is because they don't want to believe in the truth in the birth of the Messiah Yeshua and His divine nature, they have turned a blind eye. Yeshua HaMashiach as Prince of Peace came to make peace in the hearts of people and to make peace between God and mankind, individual peace should come first before there can be world peace.
(continued) And by the way you're among about Matthew 10:34, the sword is a metaphor for ideological conflict and that Yeshua (JESUS) is not advocating physical violence, especially since He talks of division in a family immediately after. I doubt that Matthew 10:34 contradicts Malachi 4:5-6, in fact Malachi 4:5-6 has been fulfilled in Matthew 17:10-13, also read Matthew 11:13-14 and Mark 9:11-13 as well as John 1:19-23 including Luke 1:17, Matthew 24:30, Revelation 6:12-17.
@knightsofstjoan2004 He's been dead for 2000 years... Seems to me if he died for everyones sins then we wouldn't be here in this condition today if he paid the price already. Wars and rumors have been going on forever World War 1,2 Vietnam, Iraq, Afganistan, Earthquakes have been happening since forever, all BS
@iam7who7iam7=The tomb of Yeshua HaMashiach is empty, he has risen two days after his crucifixion, and an Israeli archeologist named Simcha Jacobovich tried to get some DNA samples from the grave to disprove His resurrection but it was completely and totally impossible because He rose from the dead 2000 years ago and Yeshua took His DNA with Him to heaven. It's not BS at all as you say it is, unless all should have a repentant heart and come to the Lord.
@iam7who7iam7=Knock it off. O.K.? There are Jews of different ethnic backgrounds, there are the Ashkenazis, Sephardis, and Mizrahis, including the Falashas.
@knightsofstjoan2004 How can you believe in a story that came 3000 years before Jesus ever existed. These white people just took our stories from egypt and put their spin on it. Everything in the bible refers to Egypt... Black People
@iam7who7iam7=Snap out of it, O.K.? The Bible is about Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and their descendants and the 12 tribes of Israel and their descendants, and the God of Israel.
@knightsofstjoan2004 You didn't Read Matthew 10:34 here ill do it for you 34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
@knightsofstjoan2004 See now you are just adding your own words to the bible WHAT DOES THE WORDS IN THE BIBLE SAY? HE HAS NOT COME TO BRING PEACE LOL you can't say he meant to say something else
@iam7who7iam7=Wrong, I'm not. Before there can be peace in the world, all people must recognize their sinful condition and repent (see Jeremiah 3:13-18). The Messiah Yeshua will not force peace upon the world, regardless of its spiritual condition. Yeshua came in a humble fashion (see Zechariah 9:9) to die as an atonement for sins (see Isaiah 53). He will return to rule, at which time we will recognize him as the one who was pierced, the one who died as an atonement for sin
@knightsofstjoan2004 Yeshua is none other than Heru of Ancient Egypt. Who predated Yeshua 3000 years before the name Yeshua even existed. He was born of a virgin had 12 Desciples, began his ministry at ge 30, Died for 3 days then ressurected... sounds alot like this Yeshua huh. All religion comes from Ancient Kemet/Egypt black people.
(continued) (see Zechariah 12:10). At his return, he will usher in the Messianic Age-a time that everyone has been waiting for; a time of true peace in the world (see Isaiah chapter 11).
@72Yonatan=That is where you're mistaken, the Bible Code from the Hebrew Scriptures such as Micah 5:2, Numbers 24:17, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, Psalm 22, Isaiah 53, Daniel 9:24-27, Zechariah 9:9, Jeremiah 23:5-6, and Genesis 49:10 reveals the Messiah's name is Yeshua (JESUS).
It is not about God forgiving freely; God does not forgive sin for which no remorse and no penance has been made. Confession of sin and repentance needs be done. The sacrifice for unintentional sins is done after we show obedience to God, and in that order. God wants the heart of man, in obedience. And literal human sacrifices are forbidden and "abomination" - so the New Testament is dead wrong, pardon the pun. Maybe we agree on that point?
"The young lady/maiden is pregnant, she will have a son, you will call him Immanuel (God is with us)" where the entire chapter of Isaiah 7 is in context reassuring the people that God is on their side, do not fear their enemies, by the time the child is mature they will be living the good life and their enemies will have been defeated.
This becomes "The Virgin shall conceive, she will have a son, you will call him Immanuel (God is with us) and now it is as an Avatar of God...hmmmm...
@dannysees IMMANUEL (which means the strong one is with you) WAS ISAIAH'S SON... Isaiah 7:14. The word VIRGIN does not exist in the original Hebrew text... they use the word "Almah" which can mean virgin but only by the circumstance of the topic.THEY SAY IMMANUEL WILL COME AT A TIME WHEN TWO KINGDOMS WILL COME AGAINST JUDAH (Isaiah 7:1-6)... WHAT TWO KIMGDOMS CAME AGAINST JUDAH DURING THE TIME JESUS WAS BORN???
Daniel was talking about Babylon, Persia, Greece and the empiren which conquers Greece(Rome). Unpleasant characters rise up in ''the end'' described by Daniel. Those ''unpleasant'' characters are those who killed Jesus. Done, finished, simple. It's finished. Jesus got the victory over sin and death. Any other ''military'' victories which man looks for needs to be fought in ''flesh and blood''. God is spirit. and tells us in Ephesians ''we do not wrestle with flesh and blood''.
The epistle of Peter says that NO prophecy is of private interpretation.
The Bible is NOT unclear. God is NOT the author of confusion.
The Old Testament has been fulfilled. Jesus said ''it is finished'' on the cross. The apostle Peter tells us on the day of Pentacaust ''this is a fulfillment of Joel''...in the last days.
The OT pointed to the ''last days'' of the old covenant. It's over. Jesus came. He saved and renewed.
Dear Basile: their is no "old covenant" since God is eternal and His Word is eternal. All Heavenly contracts are still in full operation and eternally valid. And a "new" covenant does not invalidate a previous one, nor contradict it in any way. God is not a liar.
@72Yonatan F-U-L-L-F-L-L-E-D. God promised. God fulfilled his promise. You think he still owes something to a special group? Ridiculous. God promised to send Jesus for the salvation of souls. He did. He owes nothing more. We owe God. We owe him repentance. To suggest that the death of Christ was not enough and didn't ''fulfill'' enough of a promise is disgusting.
Jesus did it all. God's promise for redemption is fulfilled.
I read in the Bible that salvation comes by God's Grace + Faith (Jesus died for me and rose again) +Nothing , no works = eternal life . Awesome , now I will just go feed the poor , love my brethren , and not worry about stating my case and trying to convince people till I'm blue in the face . Sometimes I get a feeling these dudes are in it for the money but maybe not . I just thank the Lord that salvation wasn't hard to receive . Man has corrupted almost everything .
1) Prophecy Historicized: The gospels was written in a way (especially Matthew and all passion narratives) to place words into the mouth of Jesus ("My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?"-Psalm 22) and to make narratives about others (Jesus was said to have been born in Bethlehem because that would show him to be some fulfillment of Micah 5:2 despite the greater historical probability that Jesus was born in Nazareth where he grew up)
@blannphinella The fact is that the Gospels are true. Jesus was borne in Bethlehem of Judea, as the prophet Micah states. He and his family fled to Egypt when Herod sought for him to kill him Matthew 2:13-18, and they moved to Nazereth because they heard that Herod's son Archelaus was siting in his place Matthew 2:19-23. (1) Jesus fulfills these prophesies and many more.
@DrEinstein100 So let me get this straight...I just said laid out the ideas of (1) prophecy historicized and (2) that Jesus does not fulfill everything, and your response is to simply state that "fact" that the Gospels are true and continue by simply asserting the exact thing I am challenging--that Jesus was actually born in Bethlehem, fulfilling Micah 5:2. And then, presumably because you have the upper hand in the discussion, you top it off by saying that Jesus fulfills many more prophecies.
@blannphinella The fact is that you will not take the facts. What Historical evidence is there that Jesus was not born in Bethlehem? And he does fulfill many more prophecies. Why get stuck on this one?
@DrEinstein100 One cannot prove a negative--that is, I or you cannot prove that something does not exist unless it is logically impossible to exist. So the Loch Ness Monster COULD exist (I can't prove that it doesn't), but I also have no evidence to prove it does. So with historical evidence we are looking for degrees of plausibility.
With that said, we have no proof that Jesus was not born in Bethlehem, but we can have a degree of plausibility.
Everything you are saying is right on the money, hope a few people actually pay attention to what you write.
Most people do not ever take off the faint-glasses to see the intentional mistranslations within the New Testament and how there are indeed verses taken out of context, they did a bad job of being deceptive. The gospels are not the word of a Supreme Intelligence/Creator/God.
"Like a lion they are at my hands and feet" becomes "They have pierced my hands and feet"
@DrEinstein100 All of our information about Jesus outside of Matthew 2 and Luke 2 says that Jesus was from Nazareth No one ever references Jesus to be from Bethlehem except in these spots There is no advantage for Jesus to have been born in Nazareth but there is for Bethlehem--the Messiah is supposed to come from Bethlehem! So historical questions must ask whether the story of Jesus being born in Bethlehem is more likely a convenient fiction for the church or whether it was fulfilled prophecy
Read the old testament like any other book and disbelief, agnosticism is almost guaranteed. No one with an ounceof gray matter can accept such nonsense, cruelty etc
Lee was a former atheist and had the courage to seek the truth, without biases or prejudice. The same applies to Ralph Muncaster. I strongly encourage all the doubters of the truth of the Bible do the same as these men did. Do your research and it will affirm the truth and authority of the Bible! Blessed be the name of the Lord!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Lee is a retard, and he was extremely biased (slash retarded) and when he was 'seeking the truth' he just accepted that EVERYTHING in the Bible was 100% true. He's retarded, and anybody who wants to be like Lee, and believe in what he believes in, is fucking retarded -____-
@rsaran1288 Lee Strobel is extremely ignorant of even the most basic problems with assuming the Bible to be the Word of God and to be accurate in any sense. He is simply peddling easy answers to people who are looking for affirmation. Read those that are not apologists also: Read John Dominic Crossan, John Shelby Spong, Bart Ehrman, Elaine Pagels, and many others. The arguments of these are honest and not ridiculously bias like Strobel or McDowell.
@blannphinella At the end of the day, argumentation or debate will not get us closer to God. There is much evidence of the truth of the Bible from educated men such as Lee Strobel, William Lane Craig, Ravi Zacharias, J.P Moreland, Norman L. Geisler, etc. However, even after examining this evidence, we need to earnestly seek God with a humble heart and he will reveal himself to us when we are willing to do this.
More Christian misrepresentation of the Tanakh with mangled Old Testament verses.
Don't fall for Messianic lies! Christian evangelists are notorious for deceiving Jews about the actual content of the Tanakh and the meaning of the Scriptures!
Search Youtube for ProfMTH "Jesus is NOT the Messiah" videos and learn how the Gospels misquoted, mistranslated, and outright fabricated "prophecies" of the Jewish messiah.
PLEASE! There are so many examples of heroes with the EXACT same characteristics as "jesus".
Jesus is just a copy of older gods. get over it. when the characteristics of a savior god have been the same in an area of the world that long, it's not amazing that a new deity will have the same characteristics.
I agree with him about needing to educate yourself. He should take his own advice.
How is Genesis 1:26 a reference to son of God? It's simply God creating man. 22:8 is Abraham talking to Isaac about a literal lamb. 22:14 says nothing about a son. Chronicles 17:13 is obviously about Solomon, and I could keep going, but my point is clear. All the Old Testament sources here are vague. None are clearly referring to a literal son of God. You have to twist around the translation to make it refer to Jesus.
KILLING `PALESTINIANS YEAR AFTER YEAR AT A RATIO OF "8 to 1" AND THEN CLAIMING YOU ARE THE VICTIM OF TERRORISM AND ANTI-SEMITISM IS SIMPLY LAUGHABLE BY ANY RATIONAL, LOGIC, RELIGION OR CREED!. NO EXCUSE IS CREDIBLE FOR THESE LEVELS OF USA AND UK SPONSORED TERRORISM. NOT EVEN THE BIBLE OR TORAH ALLOWS KILLING BEYOND AN EYE FOR AN EYE!
...........................................
Source of "8 to 1" ratio: BT Selem Israeli Human Rights Group and Amnesty International.
He said some are vague, but the one about 30 pieces of silver he said was clear, but it is vague also. Sad story of the Jew that became a pastor. He didn't read Isaiah 53 in context, he only read 53 and was mislead. The servant song starts at chapter 40 and Israel is the clear suffering servant. Israel is the despised nation, the servant of kingdoms-not the messiah.
Buddha = Jesus from top to bottom. I'd say Jesus is 85-90% the same as Buddha which came 500 years before Christ. I'm not kidding, look it up for yourselves.
Poor delusional men... they tend to pick and choose from the profecies to prove their point... how about the end of war, famine, murder, rape etc... and if you are gonna mention 2nd coming, show me a passage in the Tanack(bible) that talks about it!! Don't quote your n. testament.
Prophecy? They conveniently overlook the best explanation: the gospel writers took snips from the Old Testament stories and weaved them into their invented narrative of Jesus' life. Perfect explanation that takes no effort to understand and the stories of the OT were already there to draw from. Jonah in the boat? Jesus in the boat. Elijah raising the dead? Jesus raising the dead. Elijah feeding a multitude with little food? etc. etc. etc.
Wow that Jewish guy is a moron if he believes that the Christians got in and changed the texts of Isaiah to match with Christian prophecy. Is he really that stupid? or is Lee Strobel making this story up?
I'll use the rivers and cities analogy. If you look at every major city, you'll see a river flowing beside it. Did those rivers know the cities were there and appear to aid the cities or did the city-builders know to build their cities around the rivers for optimal irrigation success?
Jesus looked toward heaven and prayed: 'Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began'" (John 17:1-5).
How naive! OT verses such as the messiah's bitht in Behtlehem, his betrayal for 30 pieces of silver and gambling for his garments, or calling out to God from the cross (to recall the Psalm) and Jesus' triumphal parade into Jerusalem on an ass: the corresponding OT verses have all been seized or usurped from the the OT by the Gospel writers to manufacture their case. So, they prove nothing.
I guess this is why they freely died for what they whitnessed, just because to keep their story up?
Hey those men did see Jesus. They experienced him and had no chance. They just had to tell others. And those others were people struck in false teaching and false traditions just like you and many others who killed them afterwards.
It makes no sense to die for a lie, unles it was no lie and they just KNEW what they were preaching.
The only way you can derive Jesus from the Old Testament is by looking at the Old Testament from a Christian perspective, retro-fitting the prophecies to fit Jesus.
Who was the vine of God in the Old Testament? It was Israel as a nation....but they failed to do what God wanted from them. In the New Testament, who is te true Vine of God? John 15....Jesus is the true Vine and God is the vine dresser.....Believers are the branches.....So if you are in Christ....you are in Israel.....the True Israel of God.
See QO13 C0M where it discusses 365 claimed prophecies and debunks EVERY single one. It gives the passage to knock these lies out of the water.

@Modehrn There is no prophecy that says "He will be sold for 30 pieces of silver." Read the Old Testament yourself, it never says that the Messiah will be sold for 30 pieces of silver. The Hebrew word "treasury" is even changed to the Greek "potter." This is a clear example of out-of-context and fabrication.

There is not any Hebrew prophecy that a messiah will be born in Bethlehem. Sorry to disappoint you. Jesus is not mentioned at all in the Hebrew bible; this is just wishful thinking on the part of Christians.
72Yonatan 1 year ago
@72Yonatan TRUE THE WHOLE NEW TESTAMENT IS FALSE. THE OT SPEAKS OF THE GOD OF THE HEBREWS AND THE NT SPEAKS OF A god FOR THE JEWS (WHICH ARE CLEARLY NOT THE DESCNDANTS OF THE HEBREWS) SO THEY CAN FEEL LIKE THEY WILL BE SAVED TOO. YAH HAS ONLY ONE FAMILY AND THAT'S ISRAEL AMOS 3:2
iam7who7iam7 1 year ago
@iam7who7iam7=You're sincerely dead wrong and that proves your blindness, the Brit Chadasha (New Testament) is definitely and absolutely not false at all, it's 100% accurate. God promised a new covenant for the house of Israel and the house of Judah through the prophet Jeremiah (see Jeremiah 31:31-34).
knightsofstjoan2004 10 months ago
@knightsofstjoan2004 You don't even understand the deception that this white man has put over world. Jesus never existed as a man... Jesus is none other than the Sun in the sky. the 12 desciples are the 12 Zodiac signs. and the people of the bible are black people.
iam7who7iam7 10 months ago
@iam7who7iam7=That is where you are mistaken Genesis 49:10, Jeremiah 23:5-6, Numbers 24:17, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, Psalm 22, Isaiah 53, and Daniel 9:24-27 are messianic prophecies and they all point to Yeshua (JESUS). Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri confirmed that Yeshua is the Messiah, the Messiah appeared to him in a vision and his vision is from Gos as foretold in Joel 2:28 (KJV). Yeshua does exist, He is God manifested in the flesh and is alive today.
knightsofstjoan2004 10 months ago
@knightsofstjoan2004 Check out Isaiah 43:11 NO SAVIOUR BESIDE ME. So how can this Jesus be a saviour. Total contradiction. Isaiah 53... read verse 10 Jesus had no children and died a young man. WAKE UP. Numbers 24:17 who did Jesus KILL??? Nobody! The rest of those verses are jiberish not even concerning the person who you call Jesus. Also why would God not mention his name??? Why leave clues or hints? God said he has only one son Exodus 4:22 Hosea 11:1 and that is all of israel... black people
iam7who7iam7 10 months ago
@iam7who7iam7=You know what you're blind, the name of Jesus in Hebrew is Yeshua which means "salvation"or "YHWH saves", Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) says that a child to be born is to be son and the Everlasting Father at the same time, and why is He called the Mighty God? Only God is Almighty, therefore He has to be God Himself, therefore God incarnated and manifested Himself in the flesh, and is given the name Yeshua because He will save people from their sins.
knightsofstjoan2004 10 months ago
@knightsofstjoan2004 Isaiah 9:6 is refering to one of Isaiahs sons. Hezekiah read 11 Chronicles 32... it explains why Hezekiah was called the wonderful counselor and price of peace. ust read down at verse 32 it says a foreseen in the visions of Isaiah. Jesus or Yahshua is clearly not the prince of peace. He even says so in Matthew 10:34 lol total contradiction of Malachi 4:5-6
iam7who7iam7 10 months ago
@iam7who7iam7=That is where you're mistaken, saying that Isaiah 9:6 is referring King Hezekiah makes no sense at all, the reason why the rabbis reinterpreted this verse is because they don't want to believe in the truth in the birth of the Messiah Yeshua and His divine nature, they have turned a blind eye. Yeshua HaMashiach as Prince of Peace came to make peace in the hearts of people and to make peace between God and mankind, individual peace should come first before there can be world peace.
knightsofstjoan2004 10 months ago

Wars and rumors have been going on forever World War 1,2 Vietnam, Iraq, Afganistan, Earthquakes have been happening since forever, all BS
iam7who7iam7 10 months ago
@iam7who7iam7=The tomb of Yeshua HaMashiach is empty, he has risen two days after his crucifixion, and an Israeli archeologist named Simcha Jacobovich tried to get some DNA samples from the grave to disprove His resurrection but it was completely and totally impossible because He rose from the dead 2000 years ago and Yeshua took His DNA with Him to heaven. It's not BS at all as you say it is, unless all should have a repentant heart and come to the Lord.

iam7who7iam7 10 months ago

@babeCZar

This becomes "The Virgin shall conceive, she will have a son, you will call him Immanuel (God is with us) and now it is as an Avatar of God...hmmmm...
dannysees 1 year ago

God is spirit. and tells us in Ephesians ''we do not wrestle with flesh and blood''.
cbasallie 1 year ago
The epistle of Peter says that NO prophecy is of private interpretation.
The Bible is NOT unclear. God is NOT the author of confusion.
The Old Testament has been fulfilled. Jesus said ''it is finished'' on the cross. The apostle Peter tells us on the day of Pentacaust ''this is a fulfillment of Joel''...in the last days.
The OT pointed to the ''last days'' of the old covenant. It's over. Jesus came. He saved and renewed.
cbasallie 1 year ago
@cbasallie
Dear Basile: their is no "old covenant" since God is eternal and His Word is eternal. All Heavenly contracts are still in full operation and eternally valid. And a "new" covenant does not invalidate a previous one, nor contradict it in any way. God is not a liar.
72Yonatan 10 months ago
@72Yonatan F-U-L-L-F-L-L-E-D. God promised. God fulfilled his promise. You think he still owes something to a special group? Ridiculous. God promised to send Jesus for the salvation of souls. He did. He owes nothing more. We owe God. We owe him repentance. To suggest that the death of Christ was not enough and didn't ''fulfill'' enough of a promise is disgusting.
Jesus did it all. God's promise for redemption is fulfilled.
We owe God our thanks.
Thank you Jesus.

A few brief points:
1) Prophecy Historicized: The gospels was written in a way (especially Matthew and all passion narratives) to place words into the mouth of Jesus ("My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?"-Psalm 22) and to make narratives about others (Jesus was said to have been born in Bethlehem because that would show him to be some fulfillment of Micah 5:2 despite the greater historical probability that Jesus was born in Nazareth where he grew up)
2) Jesus does not fulfill everything
blannphinella 1 year ago
@blannphinella The fact is that the Gospels are true. Jesus was borne in Bethlehem of Judea, as the prophet Micah states. He and his family fled to Egypt when Herod sought for him to kill him Matthew 2:13-18, and they moved to Nazereth because they heard that Herod's son Archelaus was siting in his place Matthew 2:19-23. (1) Jesus fulfills these prophesies and many more.
DrEinstein100 1 year ago
@DrEinstein100 So let me get this straight...I just said laid out the ideas of (1) prophecy historicized and (2) that Jesus does not fulfill everything, and your response is to simply state that "fact" that the Gospels are true and continue by simply asserting the exact thing I am challenging--that Jesus was actually born in Bethlehem, fulfilling Micah 5:2. And then, presumably because you have the upper hand in the discussion, you top it off by saying that Jesus fulfills many more prophecies.
blannphinella 1 year ago
@blannphinella The fact is that you will not take the facts. What Historical evidence is there that Jesus was not born in Bethlehem? And he does fulfill many more prophecies. Why get stuck on this one?
DrEinstein100 1 year ago
@DrEinstein100 One cannot prove a negative--that is, I or you cannot prove that something does not exist unless it is logically impossible to exist. So the Loch Ness Monster COULD exist (I can't prove that it doesn't), but I also have no evidence to prove it does. So with historical evidence we are looking for degrees of plausibility.
With that said, we have no proof that Jesus was not born in Bethlehem, but we can have a degree of plausibility.
blannphinella 1 year ago
@blannphinella Of what religion are you?
DrEinstein100 1 year ago
@blannphinella
"Like a lion they are at my hands and feet" becomes "They have pierced my hands and feet"
dannysees 1 year ago
@DrEinstein100 All of our information about Jesus outside of Matthew 2 and Luke 2 says that Jesus was from Nazareth No one ever references Jesus to be from Bethlehem except in these spots There is no advantage for Jesus to have been born in Nazareth but there is for Bethlehem--the Messiah is supposed to come from Bethlehem! So historical questions must ask whether the story of Jesus being born in Bethlehem is more likely a convenient fiction for the church or whether it was fulfilled prophecy

Blessed be the name of the Lord!

The arguments of these are honest and not ridiculously bias like Strobel or McDowell.
blannphinella 1 year ago

Elijah feeding a multitude with little food? etc. etc. etc.

I'll use the rivers and cities analogy. If you look at every major city, you'll see a river flowing beside it. Did those rivers know the cities were there and appear to aid the cities or did the city-builders know to build their cities around the rivers for optimal irrigation success?
