Very nice cabinet. I've been looking to build one for years now too, i honestly cant wait to finally start building it, i already have my software and roms set up. I got it running on a nice front end called hyperspin.
@IHDesigns wire? If you're asking about electrical wire, I just used plain hookup wire bought from any local electronics store. As far as connecting controls, I'm not going to go into detail here as I could probably write far more than I could fit here. I suggest looking online for details about making arcade sticks; same principals apply. Also, you don't have to make a cab exactly to my dimensions, create it to however you wish. I designed mine based on space and available materials to me.
well im 15 and my bro is 22 and hes a carpender and he said he could make one if i got the mesurements so thanks and what would be eaiser a nes or xbox 360
May I ask what wood did u use and what's the mesurments and what paint and wherd u get the buttons and could I wire up a xbox 360 controller and a xbox
@IHDesigns I said in the video it's made of MDF (medium density fiberboard). Overall dimensions are 25.5in x 22in x 49in. Paint was just typical paint you can buy in any hardware store. Parts were purchased online from Lizard Lick Amusements. Finally, yea it's possible to hack an xbox pad for use in one of these as long as you know what you're soldering to.
@Supermarioking13 PC has 3.06GHz Celeron D, 2GB RAM (2x1GB), and a 512MB GeForce 7300GS video card. As for your picture question, it's dependant on what software you're using. On the one I'm using (Nebula), it has an option of whether or not to hold the picture's aspect ratio. Just much around in the settings of whatever you're using.
You have a right for criticism, but there's no need to insult me. There's nothing wrong with Happ; I can JD and Feint Cancel just fine with Happ.
Also, I chose Happ for the cabinet due to ease of mounting in a 3/4" panel. Japanese parts are designed to be mounted close to the top like with thin metal panel. With the wood design, it's tougher to rout the necesssary material while maintaining a clean look and structural stability. I didn't want to take a chance on my first major project.
Timeout! Did you say that those pc logitech controllers that cost $10 can be used for both PC and PS3? Ps3 too? Or are you referring to the special logitech controller made for the ps3 and pc called the "chillstream"? Those costs a bit more as I have one myself. Btw I run STF4 on my mame cab, and would like to see yours in action and hopefully play you some time. NIce cab, but let me know on the controllers! Btw that was some pretty good one handed action :] Do with that as you will!
Yes, those are from the $10 Logitech Precision controllers. Yes, they work on PS3 too as I use a set of them for my separate arcade sticks I made last year. The only downside is that they don't have a PS button; so I would need to keep a normal controller on hand to access the XMB.
Did you see the comment I left you on your channel? It's not there anymore, but I saw that it posted. I really need to know the exact name and where you got that logitech precision controller from. What store name on the bay, you know. I ordered a blue one that cost $11. Sound familiar? Btw hows that ps3 video coming along?
nice very clean and sleek maybe some designs on the side and sum racks for da equipment under. but very nice.

@jt4mtb I'm building a similar cabinet with a 32" LCD and 360, your cabinet is sweet because it looks like it doesn't take up allot of room!
