  • @YaBoy4shortYB

I realize it is unusual to add hot sauce, but I like a touch of it in there.

If I offended you, I apologize.

  • This video helped me out soooo much with my roasted potatoes

  • @0597angel

  • @aladdino500

I think he will be impressed, thank you very much!

  • I went to a restaurant and got shrimp Scampi... I was very disappointed in the crap they gave me. There was no track of lemon , no butter, and a very spicy cheesy sauce with random vegetables in it. So I just had to look at a REAL Scampi . I may try this out myself and take it to the restaurant and show them how it's really done! Thanks for this =)

  • @dunte86

    Wow, thank you very much!

  • W OOOOOOO ! YUMMY !

  • @corasalv93

    Thanks!

  • my favorite dish my aunt cooks it better though and also angel hair is too thin use fettachini and you burnt the garlic

  • this recipe is back ords u cook the shrimp first then take them out then add white wine butter then garlic n grreen onions then add shrimp back in and add noodles to the pan

    u tottally burnt that garlic

  • Looks good.

  • @tjbollman1

    Thank you TJ!

  • Culinary rule of thumb, build starting with your aromatics. Garlic should have been in the butter first. Green onions do not go in till last as the properties of a green onion do not warrant much heat at all to release their aroma and flavor. Try these simple and widely accepted culinary points and you'll archive better results and most of all, flavor.

  • i completely love your vids! im only 14 and i've pretty much done like 80 or 90 of your dishes! everyone was DELISH!

  • @FrogsAreMyThing

    Thank you!

  • i agree. white wine for sure. and i dont care about cutting the shrimp but i think the pasta should be tossed in with the prawns. . . just my 2 cents

  • You burned the garlic.

  • he forgot the white wine.

  • HAHAHAHAAH YOUR NAME SAYS SEXXXXX.

  • White wine and capers please?

  • that looks so delicious!.. thank you so much i will definitely cook this for tonight.

  • @MsLuvU143

  • "Alright, we're gonna make shrimp scampi"

    -Cue heavy metal music

  • @iLikeCookie88

    Excellent and thank you!

  • Do you use unsalted butter for your dishes when you include butter or do you use salted butter?

  • @super643d

    salted :)

  • stir with a wooden spoon next time =] the sound of the metal spoon against the pan is unpleasant

  • this dish with that many shrimp at a resturant will charge you around 38 bucks! or they'll probbaly put in 4 large shrimps and call it a day! Love home cooked meals!

  • @IMKINDASHY611

    You are terrific, thank you!

  • oo i bet it tasted so good! ima make this tonight!

  • @Xivelia25

I hope you did make it, thanks!

  • WATCH THE BUTTER BURN , YUMMY.

  • @ReasonsItrust

    thanks!

  • Look's really good,I'm going to make it tonight.

  • @iukagirl

I hope you do make this.

My friends here in my hometown all love this.

    Thanks!

  • this guy has no idea how to cook this food..... where is the white wine ? and cut the shrimp in half ?

  • @Mitchellboy1800 Only thing I can agree with you is on the white wine. Without it, it's just garlic butter. However I should tell you that butterflying shrimp or even cutting them in half just makes them taste better. I personally marinate my butterflied shrimp in garlic butter oil for a half hour before cooking them in scampi sauce, but compared to whole shrimps...butterflying them seems to just make them taste better. Just my personal opinion. Made this dish a million times..

  • @Radjehuty After thinking about little bite size peaces dont sound to bad. I am going to give this a try soon and ill be posting a video about it. It about reinventing a dish right ?

  • @Mitchellboy1800 Sure thing!! I also wonder if it tastes better because the outside skin of shrimp would most likely be a natural barrier compared to its insides. I'd imagine slicing them adds surface area for more sauce.

My personal recipe is 2 Tbsp of EVOO and same for unsalted butter, 1/2 cup white wine, handful of chopped parsley, juice of 1/2 lemon and maybe half to full pound of shrimp. oh a ton of garlic too and some red pepper flakes and black pepper. I don't add salt. Linguini pasta :)

  • @Radjehuty I always like to to use white pepper more then black, and lets not forget a great parmesano reggiano cheese yum!!!

  • @Mitchellboy1800 Of course!! That's why I don't add the salt...the shrimp and the freshly grated parmesan cheese...thanks for reminding me ;D I've actually never tried white pepper...I'll have to give that a try. Let me know when you make the video!!

  • @Mitchellboy1800

You should subscribe to me and keep me inline!

  • @freitasex @freitasex hahaha, that's a good comeback hahaha:)

  • @freitasex LOL!

  • WOW...really looks very good. Today i am cooking this for my son. However, i have a problem, he's allergic to dairy products so i can't use butter, i know everyone makes it with butter, but I'll just try extra virgin olive oil and see how it works.

Thank you, great meal. Greetings from Egypt.

  • @ame7272

Olive oil would be fine, thanks :)

  • Freita this a request can you make lasagna?

  • @super643d

I have 2 different lasagna videos up, one of them is long and is in 2 parts.

  • wow! that looks good!!

  • @npaujbais

    Thanks!

  • My favorite food with epic music. >:D

    Awesome video

  • @TheSeventhChaos1

    What can I say?

I agree with everything you say!

Ok..... if you cook at all, please make this and you will love it.

Use the lemon and all and you will be very happy :)

  • Lemon zest from a lemon? No way!!!

  • @AppIeHero

    Way!

  • I'm definitely going to try this!!

  • @smokimon

I hope you do try this.

Some people think there needs to be a sauce, and I disagree.

Just use a large fresh lemon and it will be excellent.

  • too much pasta and too much bread added.

You should of made a sauce with the shrimp otherwise it will be very dry with the pasta.

    Also add some chicken stock.

    Not bad otherwise.

  • @phakim33 Should have*

  • looks great !

  • This the only way Ill eat shrimp

  • just wondering what type of hot sauce you put on? thank you:)

  • @pearllyshell08

I apologize because I do not remember what hot sauce I used.

It has been 2 years, that's my excuse.

I do remember it was fairly thick, and I only used just a touch of it for flavor.

Any kind would be fine except for the really thin vinegary brands.

  • SuPaFlY171989 I definitely agree bro!

    Btw I favorited this

  • so beautiful

  • You make some awesome dishes! Thanks for sharing.

  • @pete9047

    Thank you sir!

  • hey man that looks great...thumbs up!!!

  • I did this tonight...followed your recipe to the T but added canned clams along with the clam juice and a bit of cornstarch to thicken sauce at the end...YUMMY

  • looks yummy, where's the wine?

  • nice serving, lol, and i would have to agree with crackdaddy, maybe add some shrimp or chicken stock . also, i would personally add a bit of corn starch mixed with water to thicken the sauce a bit and allow and then toss the pasta in the pan and let it cook for another minute so the sauce can stick to the pasta and the flavor can get incorporated into every bite, anyways, that's just me, thanks, i will try this

  • @ecoello

You have great ideas, thank you!

  • If this is how it's really made then I'm not interested

  • Looks a tad dry, if you were to add a 1/2 cup of your pasta water to your shrimp mixture in the last minute, I can see this being delicious. Well that and chopping up your parsley much finer. But yea, Garlic, shrimp and butter is a cant miss.

  • That's a MAN MEAL!! Im definitely going to try this for dinner sometime.

  • @SuPaFlY171989

Hope you do try it, thanks!

  • that's a big plate :}

  • that looked yummy ima give it a try. thanks :)

  • @komov19

I hope you do try this... it is a family favorite, thanks!

  • @Zara1826

    Thanks!

This is truly one of my favorites, it is fast and easy too.

    Thanks again!

  • fiestaware?

  • @darthpaul123

    Yes.... Fiestaware!

  • luv shrimp scampi can i use rice also

  • Hi. Nice twist--slicing shrimp in half. This looks good. Quick and easy. Thanks for posting.

  • im jus starting out with this cooking thing thanks for making it easy and simply for me:-)

  • @OohSoSavvyTV

Thank you Savannah, and I hope you do make this, and please use the lemon if you do.

    Thanks!

  • @Maplygloby

I used salted butter... I really do not think unsalted or salted makes that much difference in my opinion.

  • Looks really good!

  • @TheNaturalTrice

If you like to cook ... please try this, and thank you for your comment :)

  • looks great! but wont the pasta be a little bit too dry since the scampi doesnt have much sauce left?

  • i live in jamaica and i'd like to try this dish :) what kind of hot sauce did u use? i dont think we have green onions but i'll look

  • @seriousbizniz03

The hot sauce that I used was a local brand from Chicago, Illinois.

It was a discontinued brand, and I know that it was made by a company called Frontera.

My opinion is that you can use any hot sauce, I just added a small amount.

    Thank you for your question!

  • great looking meal

     thumbs up

  • I am sorry I am not sure what those big grey things are? Are they like pasta?

  • @Fouceky

Maybe you will find the "big grey things" in the ingredient list under the video.

  • @freitasex Is it shrimp? What are Shrimp? pasta?

  • @Fouceky shrimp = prawn

  • @hajerry

Oh thank you so much. I guess the maker of this video has never heard of a foreigner and wanted to keep it a secret. Thank you for being kind.

  • NO WHITE WINE! Pss, thats not true shrimp scampi

  • OMG!!!! So Gooooooooood!!! Thanks!!!

  • great job but 2 things: toss the pasta in the pan with the scampi, and FINISH WITH E.V. OLIVE OIL DRIZZLE! a must!

  • @mikedelpiero9

    Two great ideas, thanks!

  • That is one fantastic meal. Thank you!

After over 40 years of cooking with the same pasta, I finally tried Bertolli pastas, and I just love them all. I would have never believed there was such a huge difference in the flavor. You can teach an old dog new tricks after all!

I can't wait to try your Shrimp Scampi, it looks so good, and so simple to prepare. Thanks again.

  • @Sheila6325

I really do like Barilla pastas, they are awesome.

Please do try this recipe, many people love it, thanks!

  • @freitasex OH WOW, I knew that my new spaghetti was the one you were using, I could tell by the box, but I put the one in the Ad in and not the Barilla! Weird!

I tried your recipe, and I would have never guessed that the PARSLEY would make such a huge difference. I've used parsley before, but only a touch. I also used the amount of lemon you mentioned, and wow was it better. I did add a pinch more garlic, we love garlic. It was so good we had fork fights over the last bites. Thanks again!

  • @Sheila6325

Very happy you all like it, I just knew you would, thanks!

  • That, my friend, is a terribly made pasta. And I am not sure about the scampi part with all that butter.

  • @hakos3d I went to your channel to watch how how you think it should be made, but you didn't have a video... Hmmm typical.

  • thanks to this video me and my gf are now engaged!

  • @AcidSh33tz

Well I guess that eHarmony should move out of the way then!

    Congratulations!

  • @cyrusfruean

Everybody that tries this loves it.

    Thanks for your GREAT comment!

  • what kind of hot sauce did you put in?

  • @suzenneijb

I don't remember what kind of hot sauce that it was.

I buy all different kinds and this one was different and sort of thick and unusual, it may have been Frontera brand, but any kind will be fine or you can leave it out also!

Thank you for your question :)

  • you burned the garlic and butter.

  • Going to have to call shenanigans on calling this meal nutritious, it does look delicious though.

  • LOL "nutritious".

  • it's missing the shot glass of white wine, garlic powder, & thyme...

  • will u make a chicken pot pie, please

  • @AubreyMalachi

Not sure, but I will think about it for you.

  • Cool but what is lemon zet? And how do u make the pasta? Im a rookie lol

  • @funfdogg

Lemon zest is the thin yellow outer part of the lemon skin.

The pasta came dried in a box and I boiled it according to package instructions.

    Thank you for your questions!

  • Anyone know the recipe for the Red Lobster version?

  • @ureadmymind If you ever find out, let me know! I loveee Red Lobster's shrimp scampi! :)

  • Right on im going to cook this tonight, minus the parsley possibly add another herb to it like oregano or thyme. Will let you know later how it goes.

  • @MrSmashthecash

Excellent, and I do hope you make it.

If you do add some oregano or thyme, please only use very little, as I am worried that the taste would be too strong.

    Have fun :)

  • Looks awesome, Im going to cook this soon.

    Thumps up

  • @LuvWalkZ

I hope you do, everybody seems to love this!

    Thanks!
