I follow it, too. Maybelle Morton. Yeah, that's Jerelyn. And Vilma (not sure how you spell this but it sounds like) Yuccccccch! It's like animation on radio.

It did change. Joan Gerber was her voice in 1982, followed by Jerelyn Craden from 1983 until the end of the '80s specials. I don't think that Gerber, now 73, is very much older than Craden. I do know that Craden has always looked and sounded younger than her years.

The comedic dynamic between Sour Grapes and Purple Pieman was the best part of these specials. I haven't seen these since I was 5 and they still make me laugh.

The Muller-Rosen/TOEI/PMP first 3 specials are so much better than these Nelvana ones its not even funny! The Purple Pieman & Sour Grapes are the only things that make these even watchable!

True the Nelvana animation is a little more sophisticated, but the whole thing feels like its trying waaaay too hard to be cute (something the muller-rosen specials acheived effortlessly) & the end result is sacchirine & comparetively soul-less.

And the music: wheres Flo & Eddie?

So, if I'm not mistaken, the first 3 Shortcake's episodes where made by TOEI and the others where made by Nelvana, who also did Care Bears? Just out of curiosity and thanks for getting those out!
