Well picture it from a conservatives view- a growing foetus is to them like a baby: if you were raped and you got a newborn baby as a result would you then kill it? It's really a black and white issue here: either you think it's a life or you don't. I personally don't think it is a life until the foetus is viable but if you do think it's a life then it's murder in any circumstance, consentual or not.
I have a bigger problem with policemen who pressure minority rape victims to seek abortions, and many women have testified to that effect, oftentimes experiencing feelings of depression, guilt, physical ailments, etc.

I mean bringing a child into a harsh hostile environment where the baby is unwanted can often equate to child abuse. Pro-lifers many of the time argue that a mother can put her baby up for adoption, but the fact is that the adoption system is America is extremely broken. These unadopted kids get no real options in life, and are thrown out onto the streets at age 18 to fail.

I mean bringing a child into a harsh hostile environment where the baby is unwanted can often equate to child abuse. Pro-lifers many of the time argue that a mother can put her baby up for adoption, but the fact is that the adoption system is America is extremely broken. These unadopted kids get no real options in life, and are thrown out onto the streets at age 18 to fail.

No, it was forced on them, and then they were made to keep the child and it was raised as a second-class citizen and if it was a girl, raped daily from the age of eleven or younger. People should hold off from having those children until they can make a sustainable environment for those children. I would rather see a fetus aborted any day than see a child suffer from the conditions that child had no control over. Poor people are free to have children, but everybody should limit the amount of children that they have.

Babies need a lot of attention that to man parents do not have, and bringing them into those harsh environments, now that's punishment. Not having an abortion...
