i'm sorry but the quartz grip tape of ks make me wanna cry. At first it's really good. After a week the glass/rocks whatever that grips start to feel round (like round edge.. know what i mean?) so my feet start to slide out all the time when i slide. I can still slide, but i rather have something that can really keep my feet there. Anyone know how to remove it?
@ashleyxms i tried to sand it, but it's a pain in the but, shoot william a email he told me to use paint remover, i got lazy, so i just sold my ds lite that i haven't play with for a loooooooong time and brought a bustin ibach.
@ashleyxms omgeeee i made a video on it, not exactly a review, but more like a tour + MINI review, it's a beast, absolutely beast. Fast and stable with 1inch drop, lock you feet secure when you free ride with those drop and you get these sick slide rails that keeps your feet on the board when you do some sweet standie slide, make it easy to push on =slide and easy to stay on. You can easily drag the board by holding the nose AND this board is tough, hit a car at like 20-25mph,no chip just a dent
@KrackedSkullsUNCW Look, I've already told like four other groups of kids that they need to stop posting their codes on my video. I say this mainly because I used to ride for them and it's not cool. Post it on your videos, do whatever with your own content, but don't come and post that shit on my video. I don't ride for them anymore because those boards suck anyway and I skate for Comet now. I hope you aren't posting this on other kids videos who still skate for ks. not sure why I'm responding.
I need a reply quick please. I'm thinking about buying this board. I see that its good for sliding/ carving. Is it good enough as to where i could bomb a hill and still slide or would I just get speed wobble. BTW I'm getting the Randall R-II 180's.
haha i actually went to a scimitar after my comet fsm, i just think that dancing, freeriding, and tricks appeal to me. Idk everyone is different and has different likes
I don't really remember the length of that board it's somewhere in the comments on here. I ride for Comet now and do dancing and silly stuff on my flushmount fsm but I mostly ride downhill, park and street now.
scimitar defenetly but if you just want to cruz and no major tricks get a m1 but if ur gonna be sliding or anything big get a scimitar 38in trust me 46 is way to big and make sure it has no ks logo the logo is ugly
idono if you remember john nuge from ska face but im his little bro and he told me about you and ive road at the one hill thats off of west ox that your riding. nice job
Stupid question - does the m1 work with Paris 150mm trucks? Or only Randal II's? I'm just wondering, a 48 dollar board seems very attractive right now...
Maybe it'd work if you mounted the trucks on the bottom of the deck with some risers, but you would get wheel bite if you used the drop through. And you would have to drill new holes, because Paris are only drilled new school, and the KS is drilled only old school.
it's about personal preference. width of the board will be fine regardless (I'm 9.5 shoe size and the 38" is definitely wide enough). The other board i ride is a dropped deck so when im riding the scimitar and suddenly widen my stance to gain stability for a slide or increase in speed i step off the riding platform and onto the trucks. 40" is probably big enough for you, but unfortunately the only real way to find out is to ride it. what are you going ot use the board for?
great board for that stuff. I've taken it to 27mph but it was ridiculously sketchy. it's a great travel board, especially if you get the scimitar so you can handle larger wheels (m1 can only handle up to 70mm). I would recommend getting 40" or larger. I have ridden mine (38") and two others (43 m1 and 46 scimitar). The 46 is very fun but you only really need it if your into dancing. If i were to buy another i'd get a 44" scimitar or 43" m1
and i went to the kracked skulls site. the site says max is 73mm, recommended is 70mm, so if the wheels you're talking about are larger than 70 i would say no go as you'd have to run your trucks really tight. my friend's m1 gets wheelbite on 70's if he runs his trucks completely loose (as in they almost rattle)
just curious if you've ridden an original board? if not, you'd want to consider that originals feel MUCH different than other boards that use reverse kingpin trucks like pars', randals', etc. from the ones i've ridden, i'd think it'd be really difficult to land tricks on, because of how much the board leans. i'd get a scimitar.. or better yet a ns heist or legendary demon. look those up, they're fantastic boards.
I'm Really considering buying one of these........ Right now I'm debating a Kracked Skull "Scimitar" (42"), and the Loaded "Pintail" ; what is your opinion on the Kracked Skull?
loaded pintail isnt that much of an extreem downhill board but it can do some descent bombing, as for a kracked skulls you have the drop mount that makes really good for fast downhilling and all aounrd freeride
I had 75a flashbacks and 85mm blue kryptos in the video but I ride flywheels now. For a better representation of sliding and overall better skating look at my newer videos because this is a year old now.
I just uploaded the full quality video with no compression on my end. You can upload files up to 1080mb or something like that so I took full advantage of that.
I have randals on my scimitar with the back flipped and some random left over bushings to replace the stock ones. I was riding a Kebbek Revenger in the Mt. Lake video. I would not want to ride my KS over 45 especially now that my grip is starting to die and I need to regrip it.
Thanks for sharing the video. i'm thinking of getting a ks board (m1 or Scimitar 40 inch), but I'm small and i'm wondering if it would be a difficult board to use to learn how to manual...or if i ought to start w/something else.
These boards are hard to get a handle of manualing because there isn't much board beyond the truck but if you do get it down on these boards if you hop on anything else you will go for twice as long.
hey anthonyflis do you think its possible to do shov-its and all those tricks you showed on a regular kracked skull(the 46 incher). also, is 78 a flashback hard to slide on?
it will be more difficult to do on the 46" M1 but I would not say impossible. I haven't tried in a while since I only have the scimitar and my team mates are away at different schools so I haven't ridden theirs since summer. 78a is fine to learn how to slide on. My flashbacks in the video are 75a. You can't do too much crazy trick sliding but you can pull off more than you would think.
Great work on this video! You're really good. Nice Scimitar! Might I ask what wheels you have on there? I've got an M1 but I am thinking about ordering up a Scimitar soon. :)

I got a scimitar 38". took it up a bit past 30 yesterday and it did well; some definite speed wobbles but that was with loose randal 50* trucks...
If you go scimitar i'd say go longer than 38. mines alot of fun but theres not much foot room at all; i'd probably go 42" if i could do it again

kind of a noobish question, but I heard somewhere that kracked skulls need custom varnish to protect them. is this true??

unless you get a blank deck they come clear coated so there shouldn't be problems
