  • Thanks for that. This stuff about the bribes is not new. Anyone interested might try and find a series of documentaries called 'The Mayfair Set', its about how the UK remade its post imperial economy as the worlds biggest arms dealers. The corruption is actually an arab custom that came into the UK because of amrs dealing; its expected that everyone takes their bite of the pie; otherwise the arabs wont deal with you.

  • Firstly, it is insulting to suggest that corruption was imported from Arab countries("corruption is actually an Arab custom").I think the actions of the British East India Company, shows that Britain is capable of corruption without arabic influences.Greed is universal.Suggestions otherwise are naive at best, racist at worst.Secondly, this may be old news to someone in Ireland, but this is news to someone in Australia. Lindsay is an Australian politician who is talking to an Australian audience.

  • what part of POST IMPERIAL dont you get. And no its not a suprise, I have heard of google.

And from the activities of the criminal Cheney recently I see that Aussies are committed to defeat along with the US.

So go and watch all 4 episodes of the Mayfair Set then come back with a civilised opinion.

Raving rants by maniacs is not my turn on.

  • "I have heard of google": Effectively calling us all ignorant is quite arrogant of you. While your interest in Australian politics is unusual, Australians do not focus on every single British event, and perhaps for good reason.

I'd say "corruption is an arab custom" is more ignorant than racist, because in this context it is the regimes of arab nations (and british companies/government) that are demonstrating corruption, not the average middle eastern citizen.
