Everytime I watch this scene, even after 20 years, I still feel the same shiver as the very first time!! The atmosphere in this movie is perfect, and the way Batman appears from the darkness is the creepiest thing ever!! Michael Keaton uttering "I'm Batman!" is one the most memorable moments in the entire cinema history!!

b: it's true he was too short, but he's got the perfect face under the cowl.

c: there is no way that an actor could look precisely like a comic book, you can just adapt the character to an actor. They could have chosen a fashion model lookalike, but what about the acting and the expressions?

d: Keaton made a great job, it can't be denied at all!

@apinafilms Why? Um....because it was a poor and non-engaging story coupled with pretty average acting. People go on about Jack Nicholson in it, and while he was probably the strongest role it still was not outstanding (especially with that ridiculous long gun that he shot down that Bat-plane with). I give credit to the costume designers for the Bat-suit, but that's about the only really good thing. People say it's a classic; I say it is tolerable at best. For 1989 the effects are quite awful.

Michael Keaton and Kevin Conroy are the only Batman. Keaton to me, more so the first film, was the best at conveying the fear he put into criminals. Conroy will always be THE animated Batman voice. The rest are vastly poor replacements. And he is flawless in the Arkham games.
