  • This is the Clancy Brothers. It was first recorded on their "Flowers in the Valley" record from 1970, featuring Tom, Paddy, Bobby and Liam Clancy.

    The song was probably tossed onto a dozen compilation albums after that - the info of who sings isn't always accurate on them, either. :(

    Tom Clancy sings the verses in this version. And the words can be found if you check wikipedia for Charlie Mopps.
