  • Balncobra, I believe you are correct! I have a new 81" Gatorback for my current setup: 3.10 Billet Flow Super Charger 100mm smooth iders (x2) Billet Flow 92mm Aux idler Billet Flow (brace next to super) 92mm smooth idler 6lb lower LFP oversized Alternator pulley. The Gatorback ribs are actually not contiguous like in a Gates 8 rib belt. The Gatorback will flow over any inconsistencies in the pulley alignment if that is the problem. Besides the Gatorback makes your car sound like a jet! LOL
  • Bingo! I went to the dealer "o.O" and they put some brake cleaner on the belt while it was running. Noise gone.

I purchased a new Gatorback belt 81" for my setup: 3.10 upper supercharge pulley and 6lb lower. Along with a new Super Charger pulley...

I will post a video with the new and improved sound :)

    Thanks for the post!

  • sounds like a belt dude. when my blower was going on my thunderbird sc, it was a grinding noise. and im never going to a ford dealer again. got my cobra back from them the other day for a rad flush......my entire engine and hood was covered in dried antifreeze.....and this was an SVT dealer!!!

  • Well I swapped the belt out for a gator back and its worse! I'm starting to think my super pulley is not sitting in alignment with the other pulleys. It's about .25 inches behind the plane of the other pulleys putting a slight torque on the whole belt drive.

  • Thats sounds like wide open ass!
