Your trying to squeeze 600hp out of an l48? Its possiable....but not woth the effort. Just drop an ls1 in it and call it a day. The LS series motor has A LOT more potential at a fraction of the weight. Stock, it will be plenty of power getting used too, and when your ready for more, its easy to acheive.
@1339Andrew Yeah a friend of mine has been suggesting that as well. It's something I will definitely be looking into once my time has freed up a bit. Thanks for the suggestion.
@curtisjb1983 No problem. either way its a corvette and something to be proud of!! But I can grantee you, you will love the ls motor if you go that route.
@GOMEZ99Christian Unfortunately not as fast as I'd hoped. With school and work I hardly have any time. It's still sitting out there under the car port and I'm looking for a house right now. It will have a garage and then I can get back to business once I get my cpa in a few years:(
@curtisjb1983 I know the same feeling, i watched mine sit in a warehouse for 7 years until my grandparents let me take over the restoration. But dont rush into it the best part of a restoration is taking your time and having fun with the project!
i just bought the same car, and im in the same process of getting the interior parts since my interior its just like yours, needs a lot of work, so far its about 2k to get a new interior. well 10 months since you post this video, you got any suggestions?
nice im currently in the process of rebuilding my motor so far it has a forged 383 bottom end haven't picked out the heads yet but ima choose something that will put it around 9.5:1 compression and have a valve job and port and polish job done to them once i finish paying off my debt for my bottom end parts and machine work then im getting an edelbrock e force supercharger where hoping for 550 to 600hp at the motor on 5 to 8 pounds of boost
Nice video. I'll help you all I can I'm picking my 1980 Corvette up tomorrow. Your oil gauge wont work unless there is oil pressure. You wont have oil pressuer unless your engine is running. on the Vidoe the paint look like a Dark Blue. I like it allot.
