He said so much about the work of musicians. They are paid poorly and work and practise long hours all for the delight of an audience who seldom realise or appreciate how hard it is to become and remain an accomplished musician. i always feel grateful to the artists and often wonder at their devotion despite all.

Just think of his comic talent, his sketches and his linguistic talents, which rather consist of imitating foreign language wihout actually speaking them.
