This video looks like a very bad joke. Are we that stupid? CBC is an important media for canadian musicians, artists of all venue, and the news. I listen to more radio than television living in British Columbia miles away from Quebec were I was born, knowing many people from different part of this vast country, I find CBC and Radio-Canada an essential link between Canadians. Important to know about our heritage and the creativity in Canada today.
I would be fine if all the Canadian channels and the CRTC went extinct. I dont watch any of their shows for one and two I just want to watch the damn super bowl commercials.
I'm curious if "Friends of Canadian Broadcasters" stopped to think about Stu Hart... himself a Canadian broadcaster, god rest his soul... when they made this ad.
I guess they aren't the friends of ALL Canadian broadcasters... just the ones they like.

If the prime minister cuts funding to the CBC, particularly CBC Radio, I think he should be tried on grounds of sedition, treason. The CBC is as much a Canadian institution, and as important to Canada, as our healthcare system (what you in the U.S. are afraid of getting, we enjoy!)
