@turnipz3 Yeah, I know about the bodies thing, but the point still stands that it is a bit Star Wars. Yeah, the Old Doctor would have been fine if the Doctor had not then become Dobby Doctor and then Jesus Doctor. And the whole world thinking his name? Might as well as been a "clap if you believe in TimeLords." That whole plot device ruined the script for me, as well as some dialouge moments. But the actors did what they could with the material. :) Like, I said, this scene is great.

@turnipz3 I also agree with this post of yours. To be honest, I'm upset that the Master didn't survive this one. It would have been great to see them travel together. Except then we wouldn't have had Donna, so in a way, I'm glad it didn't happen.

As sad as this scene was, this finale as a whole made no sense whatsoever, which is disappointing seeing that Utopia and the first 30 minutes of Sound of Drums were good. Continuity was a big issue, as well as the over the top scene of the Doctor as some sort of god. And the funeral pyre was a little too Star Wars. But this scene makes up for a lot of it.

this fit sin really well with end of time. i was confused as to why the master refused to destroy earth cause he didn't want to die. then a few scenes later he is begging for someone to kill him, and when they do shoot him he refuses to regenerate. its cause if he got sucked into a blackhole he could never return, if he just died to something shit like a bullet then he will get resurrected through his ring. good continuity.

Heres what thows me off as confuseing-ALL TIMELORDS have 2 hearts-The MASTER only got shot in 1 of the hearts,That 1 shot would NOT be enough to kill him !, Not like the fatal body injury to both hearts AT SAME TIME suffered from a bad fall like TOM BAKER did from a huge tower and re-Generating to PETER DAVIDSON

Well, okay. I thought of this too, and here's what I came up with... If one heart is fatally disabled, they can't live. Either you get the heart working, regenerate, or die. The Master chose to die rather than regenerate.

And in response to your other comment, let's not get technical. :P It would, either way, be very, very painful.

@OLDSCHOOLHHSEX Maybe the reason that he died was not so much that one of his hearts was damaged, because the Doctor had only one heart working several times, but I think it was blood loss and other injuries coupled with it. When the Doctor was alive with one heart, there was no visible blow, no bleeding. So, I think only one of his vascular systems working, along with other possible damage to vital organs, it could have been hard to keep his blood flowing under those circumstances.

For an American network to hit at least close to the mark on something like DW is fairly good, I mean, there are alot of information that could have been messed up, i.e. the thirteen lives and the two hearts. And I think if you look close, there is a small ring of blood in his mid torso, there I think the bullet might have hit. So, though I might be wrong, that could have hit something major, like a liver or kidney, causing internal bleeding and everything else.

Acually the master is not really bad at all. Because the reason why he was so evil was because he had heard all his life from 8 years old drumming in his head. Who would not became insane ?? So that is why i think it's sad that he died. I mean he even asked when he died if the drumming finally would end!!!

Well, the humans don't have to worry about the Master anymore. The Doctor is going to need mental Therapy for losing a fellow Time Lord. We human beings take each other for granted everyday. But, what if we were the only species that can travel into space, and there's no one else across the stars.

Some people speculate that Lucy was hypnotized or something because the Master would do anything not to be in the power of the Doctor.
