Bill Moon, founder Iowa 80.The place was already big when he passed away,but not this big!His family carries on his legacy today,fulfilling many of his plans and dreams for the truckstop and the industry.

@plksnatchers Well that depends on the person. For some, it's not that difficult, but for others it is. But you must go through a licensed truck driver training school which can be expensive.

@woodencoasterfan I plan on driving for Swift. Ill stay with them for a year and if I like it ill stay if not Ill look for another company. Ill set up a good relation with my dispachter and do my best to get my loads delivered on time and safe.

@woodencoasterfan I got my training from Roadmaster in Jacksonville,Fl. I had a frustrating time learning how to operate a truck. And that some of my family did not approve, which did not make things any easier. I had to drop the first two classes due to tuition problems and work. Then I took another class and made it. It took me ten, frustrating months to gradulate. The important thing is that I did the impossible: I made it.

Good video. Iowa 80 is one of my favorite truck stops to go to. I would love to take my home time there. If more truck stops are to be built, they should follow Iowa's 80's example. good job.

we just bought a boat in otley iowa yesterday, had to drive there from michigan. We heard about this truck stop on the history channel, and we saw it on the way back to michigan, so we stopped. It was amazing
