When sin is defeated by the final aeon, sin does somthing to the aeon. Which breaks the bond between the summoner and aeon, so the aeon kills the summoner. Yu Yevon(creator of sin) uses the aeon to recreate sin and that is the calm.

@mommyanddadd No - The Final Aeon destorys Sin, but Sin itself is only Yu Yevons armour. After Sin is destoryed, Yu Yevon emerges and possess the Final Aeon, breaking the bond between the Final Aeon and the Summoner. The strain of losing that connection is to much and the Summoner dies. If the Summoner doesnt die Yu Yevon just has the Final Aeon kill the summoner - then uses the Final Aeon has a base to create a new Sin, in other words, his new armour.

All Final Fantasyes are almost always,and other turn-based RPG's relatively often when it commes to character status development compared and judged by the standards set by ingenious Sphere Grid.

Yes Matereia in VII is great,but many fans that overaly prefer FF7,admit that Sphere Grid is superiour to Materia.

the story of this installment ties for favourite place with 7. the setting, characters and execution of the plot is expertly done, to say the least. every character brings something to the table, with this scene being a particular highlight of the game. it's the massive twist where you figure out that yevon was all a massive farce, similar to when everyone discovers cloud's been influenced by jenova the whole time. without moments like these that change the game, FF would lose it's beauty.

The cast of FFX (except for Khimari and Seymour) are fantastic. Auron, Yuna and Lulu are the A MASTERPIECE. I don't know, they are such strong characters, and so deep. You see how Yuna changes from a fragile young girl, into a strong and beautiful woman. You see how Lulu has her faith broken, and is able to be herself, without those religious bounds. You see how Auron breaks his facade, and reveal all the suffering he's bearing. A fantastic game, with a fantastic story.
