  • Hello! I create my PDFs by saving my documents as PDFs in Word. (I'm on a mac) My problem is some of my PDFs with photos are way too big to send to anyone! I managed to reduce the quality once but the file I need to send is still much too big. Is there another way I can reduce the size so I can e-mail it? It's quite urgent. MANY thanks to you or anyone else who can help. Bye from Spain!

  • Just found this great pdf search engine: file-pdf . c0m

  • I use CutePDF Writer. Its easy to use, and it is free. The pdf writer is listed as a printer in your print options when you try to print. Just select CutePDF writer as the printer and click print. A save file dialogue box then appears and allows you to save what you would have printed as a pdf. Simple! : )

  • nerd alert!

  • PDFcreator allows you to print/scan to .pdf

  • Why do you have to say ONE thing in ONE MILLION words ..... Please, videos might be fun, but if you could summarize the information (might be with the annotations or at the side, in the "more info" zone, That would be great. ..... Time is precious man :)

  • Hands down I recommend the Fujitsu Scansnap S510

over Chris' recommendation. I can't remember better spent money in the last 5 years. Search Youtube for "Scansnap" and click the first result.

  • From what I can tell pdf converter can't even scan files. You still have to use your traditional scanning software and then print to a pdf. Primo PDF will do that for free. Only thing I found it useful for was scanning 4 pages to jpg, and then it took all 4 jpgs and make a 4 page pdf.

  • Another good option is to use the Sun's StarOffice 8, with Draw you can easily export your scan to pdf. Your video was very helpful though.

  • Thanks Chris, very helpful

  • This video was helpful, I recommend it.

  • only problem, I unemployed, lost job due to failing eyesight, so I going to school for Bachelors in data communications, Zoomtext or Beryl for linux works for puter, but CCTV's are expensive, so this sound like better way, if can find a cheap scanner with software

  • am legally Blind, and can't see stuff on paper, normally I use zoomtext from aisquared to see the computer with, but documents always problem since CCTV bulky not always available, so this sound like great solution to try for school. thanks

  • very informative!!
