just tighten it by fucken hand...u dont need that supertight...that shit can strip the threads on the block..if u dont know how to change ur oil u need to grow a some balls

tighten it as much as you can with your hand. Then turn 1 turn or half with the wrench. I wouldn't just do it by hand

by hand is all you need otherwise you Will over tighten the filter.

warner4455, no the heat and pressure will actually tighten the filter, so thats what the oil filter wrench is for, however you shouldnt tighten it as much as your can by hand, usually its once it touches the block turn it 3/4 turns or one full turn
