it looks very painful, i feel bad for you. I just got a 2nd degree burn from hot water a week ago too. the burn skin looks darkly red kinda purple now. how long it takes for ur skin to begin to peel off? does it leave scar?

That bubble thing is called a blister and you get it on the most damaged part of the burn. it's your body's way of healing itself and you shouldn't pop it cause you will get an infection. it is normal to have blisters when you get a 2nd or 3rd degree burn.

yes it is i got 2nd and 3rd degree burns from a motocycle and it should feel a bit numb in the most damaged area of the burn

I got a 2nd degree burn last weekend. It didn't hardly hurt at all. Went rock climbing that day and the next. But I had to go to the ER because I had a red line going up my arm. The Dr said I had Cellulitis along with blood poisoning. They called it something else, but I forget what it was. The burn didn't hardly hurt at all until it got infected. It never blistered, it went right to peeling. The dr did say it could become a

Burns work a little differently. Scabs that form on cuts keep infection out because it's scab formed by blood but the scab on burns does not protect very well since it's mostly dead skin. Dead skin on a burn promotes infection and has to be peeled. In some cases, a blad is necessary to remove all the burned flesh.
