  • You give them the bible and take their land. Is this what Jesus did? give people a book with old stories and take their land and resources.

    That's Great for you.

  • Bless you bro.Mark.We must go out and preach the gospel but it is so important that we define the gospel and its vital contents. That is we must not water it down!

  • WE agree that the gospel includes repentance from sin and faith in our LORD Jesus which produces a new creation and a changed but not perfect life.A new desire to obey is created in us by the Holy Spirit.

  • Thank you for sharing this video with us. Blessed be the Lord, and may He bless your work in the Lord. Thank you for the reminder to be content. I need it often. As we are surrounded by the temptations of the world, it is a blessing to get a glimpse of places like this as reminders to count our blessings. Truly our best blessings are spiritual and are granted to us as adopted children into the kingdom of God. Again, thank you.

  • Nothing but the blood of Jesus! Amen

  • We are the most wasteful nation in the world, that is the USA.I once heard we christians spend more money on pet food than we do in supporting missions! We are so pathetic and passive and cannot live without our comforts. This video convicts me!Canoeing to church and we find more excuses of why we cant go to church and we have cars!

  • The bible says in Prov.19:17'He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what He has given.'The way we treat the poor is the way we treat the Lord.Prov.28:27'He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them, receives many curses.'Gods Word shows a deep sesitivity to the poor. The N.T. focuses on the plight of poor believers and on the way in which the church can help.

  • This is awsome David, Glad to see you and your family serving our wondeful God this way! Yours in Christ -Jeff

  • Amen!

  • Shalom Brother David,

Thanks for sharing this wonderful work that God has placed in your heart...

    GBU N Your family

  • Impressive.

lt seems that these people don't need a lot of money, because the river and the forest gives them enough to sustain themselves. lf you choose to refrain from modern day comforts and luxuries it is a life that makes you realize you are totally depending on what God wants to give you. That is probably the reason why these people live so close to the LORD.

  • They really do struggle. The river and land does not really provide much food for them. Most of the food is bought at very high prices at a port town. It's a long trip and very expensive. You'd have to take a taxi boat. All clothes ave to be bought also. Everyday is a challenge. This is why I do my best to support the pastors. You'd have to be there to see how difficult it is. God bless you.

  • The ground is very sandy and I saw no gardens at all and they have no hunting equipment so they eat little meat. The cassava root is their main food source. The 'laba' rodent we ate is what I purchased in a port town.God uses people to give to those in need and as we work we set aside to bless others.

  • They looked prosperous and happy, but a vid can be deceptive. Guess you indeed had to be there.

    Grace and peace upon you.

  • This is real a great video my brother David...yes they are poor in material things but they are very rich in Christ!! That is most important believe in Jesus! He want give you want you ask on His time!

We can learn much from them!!

    God bless you so much!

Thanks for sharing and posting my dear brother in Christ!

    Hugs Janine

  • AMEN ,this is a great video and I hope alot of people view it.

  • May we remember to support the missions and those who go out to minister the gospel to the far reaches of the globe.

  • Wonderful video. Thanks for sharing this with me.

May the Lord Bless and Keep You!

  • Thank you all for watching this video.I hope the song/pictures/sharing and info panel has blessed you in a very real and special way.Your comments and ratings are a blessing to me!! We really need to focus our attention on the 'Harvest'.The nations of the world need the gospel. We should support godly missionaries and to lift them up in prayer.

  • Brother, You are truley Blessed to be part of such a ministry. Thank God for the courage and the grace he has given you, you will bbe in my prayers as at this point in my life that's all I have.

  • How many of these TBN prosperity preachers do you think would row a canoe, eat a jungle rodent, bath in stagnent water and take the chance of getting malaria and on top of that not get a dime for their big time ministries??? The answer '0',that is not one!!

  • This was awesome. You are so right, we have sooo much to be thankful for, that we truly take for granted. Praise Yahweh for all His wonderful blessings, Praise Him for those He sends out to be a true blessing in sharing Yeshua's love. Almighty Father keep us humble.

I have to ask - Who is that singing. Beautiful voice. Thanks for sharing! =)

  • thank you for posting and showing me a great prayier request. America land of plenty become a Godless nation . Those poor people have nothing but has everything

  • God bless you and your ministry David.

  • Very good video! I would encourage people to read the info panel. Its very interesting. God bless and thatks for sharing this vid. 5 stars and a fave!

  • Shalom! I love much, wonderful video, five stars,i posted as bulletin on myspace.

    May the Lord Bless You.

  • I need to see things like this. Thank you for this encouragement. Being in America, where most who 'profess Christ' are not truly Christians, it is sometimes discouraging a scene. However, to know that good Bible believing Churches are being planted in distant lands makes me rejoice in My Lord.

  • Wonderful video and message! Lord Jesus bless! You will be greatly rewarded for your ministry!

  • Very good.

    God bless you.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Brother Don.

  • Riding in to say "God bless you!" I am happy about this. More men heading to God is an EPIC WIN EVENT!

  • I pray that the Lord of the Harvest will speak to your heart in a special way tru this video! We need a fresh burden from God for the poor and needy nations of the world. We must not ignore the great commission to go out into all the world!

  • AMEN!So glad to see this again and now in high quality and love the information added in the 'more info'.What a joy it must be to minister to these precious people.God Bless.5 stars and a favorite! We build fancy multi million dollar churches when alot of that money could go to missions.

  • One of my favorite songs and a great tribute to these wonderful believers in the jungles of Guyana. We have so much in America and we waste alot. This video brings it up close and we need to invest in Missions.I am blessed and convicted by this video.

  • What an awesome video and a thrilling story! I REALLY LOVE THE PICTURES AND THE SONG IS GEART. 5stars.

  • Brother David, please don't ever apologize for anything about your videos, they are better than anything put out by the "professionals" because the true love for Almighty God is being so powerfully demonstrated by these precious people. I pray for that kind of reverence for the Lord to be demonstrated here in the U.S.

  • Bless you my dear sister, your comments made my day.Reverence is such a powerful word and conveys a deep meaning when applied to our worship of King Jesus. The word belongs only to God.I was ordained in 1982 but never wanted to be called Reverend .Minister, pastor, teacher were okay but reverence belongs to The Holy One.

  • Praise God, Brother David. Glad I got to watch this vid. It brought tears to my eyes to watch. These people can sure give many a lesson on appreciation, love for God, humility, modesty, hard work, determination. I do wonder how many would be willing to canoe two hours to get to church. Praise God for your ministry in Guyana!!!

  • Brother David, It's great to see a picture of you. The work you did there is incredible at some point, later in life, I hope to do some volunteer work.

  • Wonderful! Thanks for posting! God bless!

  • good video.

  • God bless brother...

  • Praise the Lord for men and women that are willing to go forth to all corners of the world to share Christ. I know you must long to go back to this part of the world. The song and pictures were such a blessings. It makes you stop dead in your tracks and thank God for the many comforts we have here. We are spoiled and mummer and complain about nonsense. God help us all to see that which is of importance to the Kingdom and to be thankful our cars. Would we go to church if we had to canoe?.

  • Awesome video.MAY our Lord raise up more missionaries to do his holy will.

  • Once again i'm sorry that the pictures aren't as clear as they should be. They are crystal clear but YouTube didn't put it in high quality. Anyway, our God is a Missionary God!! He sent His only Son "To seek and to save the lost." Thank God for the cross. Did you know Americans spend more money on candy than they do on missions??? Also very few young people in the church have any desireto be missionaries and to sacrifice their lives in order to spread the Gospel. Your comments are a blessing.

  • great video bro david.i know how you feel.i went to haiti.didnt want to come back.they are so hungry for Gods Word.this has been 7yrs ago.i keep in contack with bro santile al the time..cant go back, health reasonsbut pray and send money and things..love ypur video.5 stars and playlist.GOD BLESS.peace, love, mary

  • You are truly amazing brother David. Glory be to God!

  • Great video! Keep up the good work! Very beautiful pictures of the indians. They really love God.

  • I've been to Guyana's interior. My ex's family is from there and the people are hungry for God's word. Paise God for sending labourers to this place. I'm always inspired by those who have so little, yet the joy of the Lord can be seen on their faces. God bless them all and those who have gone to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them.

  • Just super. I like the elderly lady that rowed for 2 hours & the congregation that came for evening service, even w/only a lantern...not so inspired by the rodent eating!

  • I cant wait to see all of my brothers and sisters in heaven. Our Shepherd is coming soon.

    Peace and blessings

  • Thanks, great song and a great mission.

  • Comments are always a blessing.Thanks.I miss being in the jungle...i really love these precious Arawaks. They love to hear Gods Word.
